Hello all,
I recently tried to place some of BNSF50's grade crossings on my route, but no matter what I try I can't get them to activate.
Can anyone explain the process or point me to an answer?
Thanks
Don

What is the kuid number of the grade crossing that you're talking about? Bnsf50's crossings are made for TRS2006. In TS2009 some work and some don't.

Yes need kuid numbers to help. Must have kuid numbers.
Bob I wasn't aware that some didn't work in 09. Could you give me kuid numbers and I will check them out.

Some of the BNSF50 crossing gates are intended to be used with the ATLS (author= boat) traffic control system.
These are the ones that do not have road or track connected. They only have a short section of invisible track, which shows up blue in Surveyor.
To use these, you have to use the ATLS controller, slave, and triggers.
It's not difficult to set them up, although it can be time consuming.
I have had no trouble at all with any of the BNSF50 crossings. They all work as they are supposed to in TS2009.
I have been using ATLS control system for all of my grade crossings because they are so much more prototypical.

I just checked that crossing and it works just fine in 09. Do you have the track connected to the crossing?

Try just opening and re-committing them. That usually fix's these kind of problems. Let me know if that cures them.

You're right. Is this a 'feature' of TS2009?

Not a feature of 09, it happens in 06 too. Probably in all versions that have cmp or derivative of. I beleive it's a memory lag thing.

I tried using ATLS and the signals now work fine.
Thanks for all the help though

can anyone send me a link of one of BNSF50's grade crossings that connects to the road or the track and do not require setting up and using the ATLS system.
thanks, casey

If you have 06 or later, which you must have to use my crossings, in the left hand window select Author and in the slot next to it put this in it, #39134 and all of my assets will come up in the big window. As long as ATLS is not in the description then the crossing will have a road crossing with it, and you will not have to use the atls system.
