I know that this is a ridiculous question and I apologize for it, but there it is: how do I select the entire content of a specific board?

Depends on which version of Trainz you're using. What is yours?

And do you mean in CMP or CM2, or in Surveyor, Tools...cut and paste? Your question is a bit vague....

Sorry for the vagueness.
I use TRS2006 and my problem is about Tools | Cut and paste. I should have been more specific.
