Upgrading Issues

My copy of Trainz: The Complete Collection came in this weekend, and I've gone ahead and installed TRS 2006! Wow - what a change from the UTC I got used to...

I'm having some issues with the Download Station though, & I can't view the Content Manager... What have I done wrong? I have TRS2006 installed in a seperate folder than UTC - is that causing the problem?

Also, what must I do to convert my custom-made layouts from UTC to TRS2006, or is that even possible?

In the first menu, select "Manage Content".

Yes you can transfer UTC stuff to TRS2006. I did 3 years ago. I think I made each item, even layouts, to CDPs. Then imported them to TRS2006 CMP. You may want to run them through CCP before comiting them.

The above instructions should be accurate +-20%.;)

Thank you for the reply - I have managed to figure that out after some research via Google.

However, I have bigger problems now... It seems that my graphics card is not supported by 2006. No matter what I do, I cannot get the OpenGL portion of the TrainzDiag to "Pass," and therefore, I cannot use CMP at all (!&$%) Who designed the CMP to use more graphics acceleration than the game? I don't get it...

Thankfully for me, I got my version of TRS2006 as part of the Complete Collection, and it also includes 2004. Active industries was really the only thing I was missing with my old UTC, and 2004 offers that - and it doesn't use CMP...

:'(

Anyway...


Is there a way to manually install the CMP files and assets? I've managed to download *.cmd files for some 2006 content, but don't know how to install it without the CMP...
