View Full Version : saving a new consist in TS2009

I have just installed TS2009 and SP1, then added some rolling stock carefully selected from TRS2006 that had no errors or missing dependencies.
I went into surveyor to set up a few trains on the protoclinch route i downloaded but i cannot save any of the consists. the ok hook is greyed out no matter what i type in the box.
The same happens if i want to set up a portal so that the train returns through another portal. The portal name is never accepted and the ok hook is greyed out no matter what i type.
Is it a bug? Someone else experiencing this? Or is it just something i don't understand?

After you place the loco and cars, click the consist icon (or press G) then left mouse click on your train. This should popup a small window so you can type in the name of your consist. Save by clicking the check mark.

Hey, it works for me. I'd suggest that you post your TRS2009 problems in the 2009 forum and maybe you'll catch the eye of one of the Auran guys that hang out there.

Update It's the same with many dialog boxes where you have to type something. same with setting running numbers on locos and the portal links described over.

Hmm this is really strange...
I kept trying on other routes and other locos, didn't seem to make any difference.
So i made a new route, laid a piece of track and put aurans new SD40-2 UP on it and tried to change running number. When i clicked the link to change running number TS2009 crashed.
When i reopened TS2009 everything works just fine like it's supposed to.
I have no idea what happened and why it suddenly works but there is a crashreport i can e-mail auran. not sure about the e-mail address though. Is it crashreport @ auran.com?

Now it does not work again... And i'm unable to reproduce the crash and i cannot edit the dialog boxes mentioned above anymore.
I am wondering if this is related to the fact that i am running on XP x64?
TRS2006 and TRS2004 worked just fine on XP x64...

This is why I suggest you post 2009 problems in the 2009 forum so Tony Hilliam, WindWalker and Ahsan might see them.

Well this is as fresh as i know fresh.... and the sad thing is that i have the same problem in default routes with default rolling stock or as above a bare one tile route with just a spline of track and a builtin loco.
And ofcourse i let the database rebuild completely.
