Vendal- you give away your age when you reference Zappa lyrics.
(Free is when we pay nothing to do nothing, we want to be free, free as the wind)
"Teenage Wind" which by the way is from the double LP "You are what you is" - guess how old I am?
I like that double monitor thing, maybe I should buy another monitor for myself for Christmas.
Here is a little shot showing SBB basic catenary pylons that I made some time ago. I believe you might want those for your further Swiss efforts.

It was the standard crossing gate in my country in the pre-light-signal-era.
I think the last gates of this kind were replaced by the new ones just 1-2 years ago in Poland.
We were thinking about this here but the polycount of even the most light version was too high.

Exactly this design ! Exactly this.
The Savety curtain, this is ... I lose my words ...
Unbelievable.
Amazing !
A half Year ago, i started to design such level-crossing.
Ever and ever I smeshed it into the recycle bin.
I wasn't able to design a "round" object without drawings.
The background:
I would like build it for different angles and different track distances, a bit like the Level Crossings, made by Andy06, look a bit like the old czech Level crossings, able to add with the SD street and way system, and at least adjustable in hight. But every try finished in a disaster. Perhaps You can imagin, why I am so happy.

Top left hand of the screen, the '?' button on the menu will turn off information i.e. the junctions arrows and names. They will only show up again if you hover the mouse over the junction.

The following two pictures are from my Paris Gare du Lyon route, and as you can see, its work in progress:)
A two line express and local line meets an already busy 4 line Express line as it heads up into Paris:
A view from above the Express Line down to the unamed station:
These images have been reduced in size from 1920*1200 hence the poorish quality.
The small station you see requires a Name, so i ask someone to come up with a French Name for this station.
Thanks

Hi bruno, im sorry it doesnt look anything like Paris, but i live in the UK and im only going of what i can remember looking out of the TGV duplex (lower deck:( ) window. I think a French name that anyone can pronounce would be brilliant, though i can pronounce French names ok with Grandparents in Belpech near Carcassonne, thanks

The double deckers and locomotive are specially made for the Zürich S-Bahn net. To find them and more just do a DLS search for username witte46 ;)
Tractorking am I mistaken in seeing some UK rollingstock on the hook of the TEE Re 4/4 III. Have a look around Topae's website (http://www.trainz-kleinkram.de/4579.html)and see if you cannot come up with some more prototypical TEE stock (and more) for your layout :)

Good evening for everyone,
just some screens from Budafok-Háros, an existing railway station on the line Budapest-Balaton-Nagykanizsa-Zagreb-Rijeka.
However the screens are real TRS-screens. The station was built by Vendel with all of its tracks and junctions. I placed the background scenery and all fitting trains. I do not remember from where are those, sorry for that...

SO I take my words back, I havent been in Switzerland since '98 when the Lok2000 were just coming out.
I was cruising the german page and cam across the photo below.
An re460 lok 2000 towing the S Bahn although its hard to see the color and could be an IC.
They are on the DLS I believe maybe titled W-450 or something.
The consist should look as below, previous pic had wrong Loc.
There is a german version in DeutchBahn livery.

Oh yeah and dont forget do download the "change destination sign" command so you can make the boards show your stops.

Well, the buildings on this layout are from different countries. Most of them are on the DLS. The cathedral is the Notre Dame de Paris, kuid 70030:25014. There are also some low poly buildings from dmdrake, which ,in my opinion, can be used for more than just as background.

Thank you, vendel. If YOU ever should decide to make a drivable bus with visible passengers, I know it would be of SUPERB class!
At the moment there is just one high quality oldtimer bus available (from andi06) which has functions like opening doors, night mode and route number / destination changeable. Especially route number/ destination are essential for me, as I have 20 different busroutes operating on this layout.
What I wish is a more modern type of high quality bus which has the functions as listed.

Search for RE 460 or SBB or set the search to Switzerland and Locomotives in the DLS.
And I dont where I found the Change Destination command but its in the DLS, just search for it.
btw is there a Command where I can just type something like "SPECIAL" or "EXPRESS"

That switch is an animated junction of Guriga (HO TTrainz, see on the fan sites), and will be released as payware in May 2007 together with a 50 km long protorypical route. Later You may read more about it in the Payware section.

Actually, I think I have some idea about how this result was "obtained" : continuous satellite maps are actually made of a mapping of many pictures and probably the border between two of the pictures making this view is where the second train is cut... When the second one was shooted, train had gone !!
In any case, I like this picture and will save it :)

Good morning FSP,
...You present a lot of very good fotos but when can we get it - as an trainz map...
The answer is quite simple: i build very slowly. See the attached map:
http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/900/palyaqy6.jpg
The ready part of the layout was built in more than 3 months. I think it will take another half a year (at least! :D ) to finalize this layout. The only advantage of this low construction speed, that i may build the necessary objects, if something is missing. I use only Hungarian and FMA.objects. The framerate now is always above 25 fps. My goal is to make a layout without alpha-bugs, caching problems and where-is-the-object-effects  . It is not that easy.
If everything is running according to my plans, you will get a compact layout, inclusive all objects present on the map.
