@Gert27: Those screenshots were made by me, but 'stolen' by 1993mathias. They are from a thread in the old Trainz Forum called 'Abandoned Stations'. I have to disappoint you: They are not from a route, but from a 2-baseboard diorama which I have long ago deleted.

May I send You a test piece of my WiP-Coach and can I get Yours for an "how-to-do" comparison?

Good evening,
did you ever heard the tale about what happens to the trains if they get old? Here is the true story:
They will be pulled through a straight and narrow track to a workshop,
http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/4296/screen455uq4.jpg
...and some of them stand there for weeks, months or even years...
http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/4160/screen461gi2.jpg
...until someone decides if they will be museal values...
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/2332/screen463tx9.jpg
...or base material for pig iron...
http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/5417/screen466fi0.jpg
...or their wooden parts will be used in the logging industry...
http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/3528/screen467od4.jpg
...because the new carriages are better and more comfortable.
http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/1826/screen470rs1.jpg
That was the end of the tale, kids. Sleep well, if you can. I hope, you can...

@jpereira: Your screens are really poor. You can make Your own thread, where You put own screens, that everybody can judge Your work. That thread "Screenshots of European Trains (http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?p=263904#post263904)" is for good screens, and for occasionality loading good screens from everybody.

@jpereira: Your screens are really poor.
@Jpereira: I won't say they're poor, but it would be a good idea to make a smaller selecion of screenshots. Just pick your favorite and post that instead of a lot of 'random' screenshots! Sometimes 1 picture can say more than 10 pictures, take Razvan's post for instance!
@MrEisbaer: Any idea when they are going to be released? They look great, and would fit beautifully in my layout!
Having said that, back on topic please! :D

My dear Polish trainzy friend,
;) Are you going to be the judge? Can you distinguish between the categories you have sorted? Are you dictating who can and who can't post screenies here? Just to learn.
Is the Screenshots Forum a judging pulpit? Or just a showcase? BTW, I don't see this thread being entitled "Good Screenshots of European Trains" (:hehe: Being the case, maybe you and I couldn't post any :hehe: )
Please, let's be polite and kind, it's free and rewarding. Just MHO. Most of times, silence is the fairest verdict. ;) Silenced posts result in the politest judgement.

If you mean the Loco's, they are not from me, look at the DLS to the username hei51 and you'll find 6 versions of the Class 151 ;)
I build only the Layout on the Screenshot (and i think the loco's looks great on this shot) :D

Zieba, I think you are being grossly unfair. This thread is not purely for high resolution pictures or it would say so. No, it is for European Trains and that means everyone can join in. Personally, I think jpereiras pictures have much improved since his early stuff, but surely that is the case with all of us.
You are of course entitled to your opinion, but being rude and insulting to a fellow Trainzer with the same interest as you is just silly and can land you with an infraction. Alberte is right. If you really don't like something then silence is the better option.
Zieba, we have all been impressed by the quality of your screenshots, and I for one cannot understand why you have taken this attitude with jpereira. Maybe you was having a bad day.

Good evening,
I am the thread-starter and the Godfather of the name: Screenshots of European Trains. Portugal - according to my knowledge - is part of Europe (for me one of the most beautiful part of the continent with a lots of beauty). I never declared this thread to be the home of only 5 star screens. So, please let it so, as it is. This thread is open for all europeans, or any fans of the european rails. JPereira - like many others - is and will be my guest and he is welcome, independent of the fact that my taste is different. Zieba, your screens are welcome as well but please do not turn into moderator modus :o .
I do not want to discuss about taste, because it is very subjective...
Greetings for everybody and i wait all screens regardless of the quality :hehe:

My dear N-DY. This is a fabulous layout, although I've noticed a terrible mistake (as an architect). The girder steel bridge on the right has got no pillar between the two sections of the bridge. This can't be. The bridge would collapse on the rails underneath. I think you need to work something out with that.

Are you ready to know the shocking truth? Are You???
IF you mistype from any reasons the size of your sky-texture (eg. 255 x 256 instead of 256 x 256) you get ALWAYS this result :hehe:. So this beautiful sky is a simple typing error... You may try it with any skies = make any texture sizes wrong, this sky is always guaranteed... :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

Thanks for your words. Portugal has an History along the cencsorship before 1974 along mora than 40 years and I know how to deal with.
I know that my screens e scenerys are not as the GOR's, for example.
I prefer freedom and I wiil try to get some more nicer screeshoots instead of putting a lot of those at once. I will make a better choice.
I rather prefer to listen constructive analisys e and positive criticism than the words "poor" and "good" that means nothing because they do not have an explanation about the parameters: what means those words?
Zieba, please explain that !
If you do not explani the means I have to think that those two words a sort of screenshot racism.
Tthanks to all.
Zieba, if you are a polish citizen, you should know the meaning of the words "poor" and "bad" that some guys used during the 1933-45 period.

The screens are not bad. But when take a screen prees F5 before you make a screen. Also when place trees on the lay-out use the random placement in the surveyor options so that all trees are placed randomly. also you can use other flora. there are alot of very good trees you can use (JVC as an example). This is not negative but you asked for some positive criticim. Other then that keep it up and have fun and keep placing screens.

Hi,
@jpereira
In the surveyor you need to click the surveyor menu(left above)
Then choose the option surveyor options. Afther that that you need to mark randomly rotate new object. When done all object you place on the map are have a different angle. So for trees its great because they dont look all the same in standing.

Looking for an FMA tunnel? Why don't make one yourself!
A short and simple tutorial:
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/5826/voorbeeld1ls1.jpg
Step 1: Pick a standard Trainz tunnel
Step 2: Pick one of the FMA bridge-splines and an FMA High-rail spline.
Step 3: Put them together and place in front of your Tunnel.
Done!
I use them myself too.....

By the way, Ppolo, can I ask where did you get this nice M62 diesel on the front of your train? I don't think I've seen that before.
The usage of the FMA highrail system and FMA Viaducts is clearly visible on my layout where I managed to build a 2 story railway terminal. The only thing I miss is pillars, but I can handle that.
Anyway, my new double decker suburban passenger sets from the late 1950s in random PKP paintschemes.

Thats some fancy track work there. I have a question though. Where does your catenary come from?
Anyway, here's my contribution. Its from a generic Central European style route I've been working off and on for the past year or two. Mostly 760mm gauge but I've been busily working on the standard gauge part recently, as seen here paralleling the narrow gauge line.

That's your opinion and I, of course, respect it. But, and this is my opinion, I think that a Forum is not a personal blog; Forum is a place (from Latin language in which forum means "square") where people share their opinions, and, for Trainz, their creations (free or payware). Don't make much sense to show something without sharing...
connyxy
April 24th, 2008, 01:43 AM
How others, I show here screenshots of my layouts , not more , When I will released some of my work then I open a new thread in another Place.
For freeware and Payware we have another places here in Forum!

yeah quite right Connyx, ive posted pics of quite a few of my layouts on here but havent uploaded any of them, now if they were posted in the freeware forum and were not shared it would be a different kettle of fish.
ok im getting off my soapbox now lol sorry. :hehe:

Nice Roembach and Oselek! Amazing to see what can be done with our good old Trainz.
Here are some screens from me, dedicated to all the object builders. I'm sorry I can't mention you all, but you're keeping Trainz alive!
Btw. These are all from the same route, which will hopefully be released before summer.
