The Gliwice - Rybnik demo is downloadable from www.gwtteam.eu

I think also from Polish Trainz Team main site, but I'm not sure.

Back to the screens.

Line 229, northern Poland. Huricane weather often taking place in this part of the world didn't disturb our speed record.

Today it would be impossible to do since the line is closed and in very bad condition (max speed 30km/h).

I've grown very fond of the Polish content for Trainz.

I took a pair of ST44s through DB Projekt 1970. Yes, I know it's a German route but it's one of my favourite routes.

http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/6883/st44atf7.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/9947/st44bqf5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/2168/st44fut8.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I have to say I think the Europeans are the best content creators in Trainz, the thing that impresses me is the detail in the content they put out.

Look what I found!!!!

This is one awesome little loco. Has it's own soundfile and various cab views.

Got it from this site, http://railroadsim.net/. There are also many other Russian locos and rollingstock which I plan to acquire.

Took this blue loco for a run on DB Projekt.

@DaSnakke
Its in progress, need alot more time to finish this route. At the moment i did only trackwork(including andi06 junctions), signaling and catenary(not mutch scenery, only the stations) to Antony, that means the trackwork is done at 35%. still a long way to reach Gare du Nord underground station.
Greetz Laika ;)
I need to build 32 stations. At the moment 15 stations are ready and operational

Hi folks,

I found a route on the DLS by the name of Niddertalbahn, it's done by Pngel_Anton, <kuid2:208598:100050:6>.

It's another German route, but well detailed and it's a great route to drive on.

I actually took a Russian TEM2 locomotive and carriages for a run. I went to a bit of trouble finding the dependencies, but it was worth it. It has custom engine and horn sounds, but the physics of the loco means that you have to watch your speed cos it doesn't stop real quickly. It also takes a while to get upto speed.

Here are some shots....

The convenient thing about this route is that it is real, in fact it is relatively close to me (relative assuming you have a car:hehe:), the line is very well replicated from the original (except for the "airfield" near Altenstadt). Though it certainly doesn't look that way now having seen Bad Vilbel for myself. The only problem I have with the route is that the signals he uses are rather dirty:p

The Russian content is excellent, just about all the locos have custom sounds, cabs with various views. Makes me glad to be a Trainzer when I have these locos.

I can back up N-DY's claim - I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and this is a very nice route.

I believe it uses all built-in items from the German TRS2007 edition though - unfortunately some of those items aren't included with the Australian TRS2006 edition and since they're not on the DLS you can't get them. Nothing too crucial to stop the map from working though - definately worth the download.

Missing a "No Electro locomotives beyound this point" sign is very bad (to say the least)
Apparantly the engineer found his mistake to be so utterly embarrasing that he just upped and left, leaving his Re 4/4 II sitting on the siding, waiting for a diesel shunter to haul it back to safety.

Nexus, are the PTP addons compatible with the UK version of TRS2006?

Thanks

Addon 1 + 2 plus Extra 1 are all compatible with 2006+service pack 1 and run fine on the UK version .

All the versions released after Extra 1 are not compatible with 2006+ service pack 1 only 2006 WITHOUT service pack 1 added.

All sessions/controls/information are all in German so a basic grasp of the language is helpful though the manuals that come with the routes contain a lot of pictures that show how the controls work etc :)

Nice screenshots Laika, I'm sure you would find our "block of flats" and "city rowhouse" series very atractive. The same goes to Sura.

This Morning I jumped to TRS and checked Magnus's Line 211 map. Downloadable from www.gwtteam.eu as "Chojnice Koscierzyna" and used my favourite passenger train stock used 35 years ago.

Just wondering if someone could tell me where I might find this DMU please ?

Hi,

@Shamrock2002
You can download this stock on this link
http://thomas.deudon.free.fr/cdp/
But keep in mind that all this stock is made for TRS2004. The stock you looking for is the rib80. Also it can happend that some dependencies like the panto is included in another train. So it can happen that you need to download also some other trains to get all the parts you need.
Also try the Rame Turbo Gaz. Its realy great stock.

Hi folks, I'm going to contribute some of my own work to this thread.

This part of my Dual Gauge route. screenshots are here....

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=18908

The route isn't spacifically based on any particular country, but I'm hoping it's European in appearance.

This is the town of Warcent, with both guages visible in some shots.

Thx for kind words, Dermmy & per_ta. I was building this scene on last Sunday´s afternoon and I´m sorry to tell you, that it has been made only to take a few sreenshots.
So it is not a complete layout. It would be nice to build a whole layout in this style but you have to put to many objects on a small piece of ground and so the
framerates would go down, I think. It is difficult to represent a big city in trainz.

It's been a while since I last posted shots of Dual Gauge, but in that time I have achieved quite a lot.

These shots show another side to the route, overhead wiring. The electrified network will run into the major city, with an underground railway planned.

In these shots, I'm using Hungarian MAV rollingstock, a M41 class and passenger wagons. An MAV V43 is waiting at the first station on the electrified line.

The diesels will enter the electrified lines through a junction.

I will post pics, then some links to YouTube videos.:D

Dear All,

I would like some advice please, as I am attempting to turn the Ostalgie layout into a winter route, as I love riding trains in the snow, this is purely for my own enjoyment.....
I have made a start as you can see from the screenies, but would like to know what type of trees and bushes would you find in town centres and cities in Germany and other countries in Western Europe, to make my layout a bit more realistic please, and can I find something suitable on the DLS ??

Thanks in advance.

Route is fictional, not based on anywhere in particular. I don't make routes based on other countries as I don't know enough to do so.

Being fictional, it leaves me free to do do what I want as I found in the past I can't work to a plan.

The route is definitely not Hungarian, I just used MAV content in my shots.:)

Holland.
Most Dutchies believe Hollands' most famous attractions are windmills, wooden shoes and our tulipfields. Nah simply not correct. We're never turn our thought to that tiny little bodypart that was used by Hansje Brinker to save the land he was living. His thumb in the dike! Dikes keeps the water from flowing to the inland but turning the wheels as well.

I believe that this VT 642 "Desiro" in the colors of the "Vogtlandbahn" is only available as build-in content in the german TRS 2007. Please adjust me if I´m wrong ! I didn´t find it on the DLS. There are different versions of that train but not this one.....

I would like to say to you that the DMU you have seen on my screen comes from a trainz paysite named "la france en trains". I give you the link, you ll find this DMU and a lot of typicals french railcars and DMUs from 1930's to now in the "volume 5", available since december 2007. But I don't know if the full version is downloadable, certainly soon, you might be patient...This will cost to you 35.00E...You can see a few pictures of this rolling stock on the order page.

BP42 number 66 waits in a siding for a POW train to pass. The normal loco is being rebuilt after getting strafed earlier in the week.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/magickmaker/Screen_007-2.jpg

Having picked up their orders, 66 starts moving again, heading to provide Artillery support. The Quads AA guns are missing, having been badly damaged in an earlier attack.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/magickmaker/Screen_008-1.jpg

A low flying Allied recon plane takes a few pictures of 66, confirming the damage done earlier in the week. Plans are in the works to remove this armored train. Currently it's a thorn in the side of the army, but soon it'll no longer be a problem.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/magickmaker/Screen_009-4.jpg

NOTE: The trainset you see there is something that I commissioned from Paul. (Barn700) The set is payware, and not quite finished. He's made a good bit of progress with it as you can see, and I look forward to the finished trainset. If you're interested in purchasing this (which will include most of the cars and the unique armored locomotive when finished, please contact him. I'm not sure how he will sell it, whether it will be piece by piece or a whole set, but I'm certain that you'll be as pleased with it as I am if you do opt to purchase this. :D And remember to vote for Paul to thank him for making the wonderful set :)

As far as I know these are still in progress.
At this moment there seems to be steps towards Nostalgia along Dutch Trainzers. These semaphores are a superb example. Huubhaar creates a back to the 60ties route that also has a great mid 20th century atmosphere. So for those who loves that era just keep it touch at Trainz.nl

This sparsly decorated screenie is not meant for show, but more to show just how many different [removed] signaling systems we have in Germany.

http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/1416/screen033su6.jpg
From left to right.

Hp Semaphore system (prewar design, used throughout all of Germany and nations formerly occupied by Germany during the Second World War).

Hv Light system (postwar design, used in West Germany only).

Kompaktsignal Light signal system (postwar design, used in West Germany only).

Ks Light signal system (relatively new design, replacing for the most part older signals of the Hv, Hp and Hl type).

Sv Light signal system (prewar design only found in Berlin on the S-Bahn lines)

Hl Light signal system (postwar design, found only in East Germany).
