I see that the autumn atmosphere touched You too DaSnakke, classy screens.
Here is my little impression about how I remember polish railroading between 1996 and 1998:

Thank you Baureihe41 and jaceck.
The items are from the DLS, basically I searched for "lumber", "wood" and so on; some useful items are from bendorsey. Some other items that are found are some russian houses, pity I cannot recall which website I got them from..

Hello everyone here, all your screenshots are superb, and inspiring to look at, this is the first route I am attempting to build set in mainland Europe, it is meant to be an old branch line that has become a preserved line like so many in the UK have, if anyone is wondering why I have so many of SLW's fine locomotives I also use DB Projekt to run them on. Please feel free to be brutal but fair on your opinions of my WIP layout and I will be very grateful of any advice on how to make it look more German. Also some fictional German Station names would be great as I have run out of ideas after naming my first station.

N-DY: Hallo, wovon ist die schoenen Bruecke?
Und noch eine Frage, welche Tunnel sp-line benutz mit Verbindungen dem FMA "Portal"?
N-DY
August 28th, 2009, 01:07 PM
Hello golfik,
the nice bridge is buildt- in content of the german TRS2007. You can find a "one track" version on DLS: it´s called "Bridge steel rusty 1t-18m" from "josefpav".
For the tunnel I used several parts of "FMA arch elevating w 24" (kuid 52:37468) set behind each other till I reached the desired length of the tunnel. Then I set the sidewalls
with two parts of "FMA bank´s end w 8 B" (kuid 2:52:37374:1) and put all these parts to a height of 9 meters. Then I begann to form the landscape and frame the entrance of
the tunnel, which was now covered by the ground. To make the portal visibly again, I set three "AJS Dighole" (from andi06) and cut out the landscape in this area. The free spaces
at the ground of the tunnel were covered with "FMA trackbed w12" (kuid2:52:37389:1) and Grassplines from "FSP" called "GB7.5mNasep1". Then I formed the rest of the tunnel.
All required parts are available on the DLS. I hope this description is understandable.

that model train of yours needs some dirt on it. it's too plasticy. perhaps a light brush of sand-type colours and some muck around the exhaust would tone it down a little without making too much of a diffence if you want a 'clean' loco. similar for coaches, bit of muck round the tumbehome is always present....
excellent screen shots everyone; i'd post some of my route, but it isn't exactly finished yet ;)

Well, my first impression was 'nice model train' also. The second picture unveils it for sure: I believe, it can't be a model with these details. Both are real pictures with some interesting GIMP (or whatever) effects. ;) Am I right?

ooh, i have been outwitted. i admit, they don't look real, and you'll be supprised by the detail you can get on some of these modellers. anyone can take something from a box and plonk it on the track without modification. someone will always find something wrong and strive to correct it, or that person will be changing something to model a diffrent locomotive... i actually thought the second picture was better (even though i'm not a kettle fan), because of the dirt present. clean locos (or brightly painted ones) always look odd to me

That Ty2 steamer is a really wonderful locomotive.
However, out of the box it wouldn't work for me in TRS2009.
I've modified it so that it will and for those interested in running Ty2 #256 in TRS2009, download it here:

Some of Eastern Europe's prized international 'InterExpress' trains, all starting at Berlin Ost. and heading south-east to random destinations such as Moscow, Sofia, Budapest, Bucuresti, Warszawa or Praha:

Most of those travelled south, using the Berlin - Dresden - Bad Schandau corridor, then through Decin and Praha / Brno to Vienna/Budapest/Sofia or even further. One of them was D 373 / 372 "BALT-ORIENT-EXPRESS", the name should give one the idea...

Wish I had the patience to make layouts, but I have realised that I had better stick to modelling stuff for them in stead. Keeps the hair on my head intact.
That is why I get very happy to see top quality work like yours. So many possibilities in such small space is shere genious. More please!

Hi Mike --
"All the screenies are stunning, but where are all these brilliant routes ?"
I agree. This thread contains some absolutely outstanding screen shotz.
But what I'd like to be able to do is download some of the routes that have been on display. And get them to work without searching the ends of the Universe for missing dependencies.
It would be a real treat to just download a single zip file, even if it was a half gig in size, from somewhere.

Even though I agree with your sentiments Phil and Mike, I find it interesting to go to all these websites, not only looking for a particular route's missing assets, but, having a look to see what else is available on there that I could utilise on another layout that I have downloaded already, and given the choice of lots of creators to upload their stuff to their own countries' various websites, rather than the DLS, it's quite surprising what you can find, and you don't need to be fluent in every European language from Portugal to Russia, the pictures of the assets give you a clue as to what the item is.

Thanks Torsten.
Despite having TRS2009, I use TRS2006 for most of my routes as the V6E trams and lots of other content doesn't work in TRS2009. Anyhow, I have patched the TRS2007 content from TRS2009 into TRS2006. That just leaves <kuid:107547:28060> which I will ignore and <kuid2:121616:100930:1> which I will replace with something similar.
Thanks again for your help.

Catenary are of yojimbo available on http://www.bushido.dk/tutorials/SBB_Fahrleitung/downloads.htm and my http://www.patricia-trainz2004.ch site
Jet makes a modification which this finds on my Internet site : http://www.patricia-trainz2004.ch/teste/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=25&func=fileinfo&id=73&lang=fr which are Betat Fahrleitungsträger HOCH & - Fahrleitungsträger TIEF, they are only the supports or this finds to attach the cable of the overhead line.
It is automatically necessary to download the original version of JB and in continuation my modifications it is according to the use of the user and also what relates to the facility to put the cables of overhead line.
For my part jet makes these modification bus with the version original of the cable holder jet of the conflicts with spline of rails etc. (has to see)
These modifications were made with the agreement of JB
