I'm converting a route from summer to winter, for release over the next month or two.

It's going pretty well so far, but now I'm trying to replace summer trees with winter ones.

I've gone through, written down the kuids I want to use, and when I use the "replace" command, it works for a bit, but then comes up with the message "No Replacements Made".

I've made several replacements with tracks, and textures, on this route and it went fine.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions as to what I'm missing?

Thanks.

The replacement function can be a bit spotty sometimes. On a big map I have found that it only partially replaces one ground texture with another the first time through, so I had to repeat the process, reloading TO and re-analysing the map each time.

Probably an obvious point you were already aware of, but are the original and replacement objects of the same Kind? They need to match. For example a spline of trees (eg. kind = bridge) can't be replaced by a normal tree (kind = scenery).

That's all I can think of, sorry.

Which version of TrainzObjectz are you using?

v6 will work with kuid2 formats. v5 will not.

All great points - I think I'll uninstall TO and ensure I have the latest version.

Thanks guys!

Yep - indeed I had an older version. Upgraded to V6 and it's all good!

Thanks again to all.
