You do know 90036 has gone back to EWS!?
That now needs to a scotrail sleeper one, 90024 if possible!
90024 only managed a stock movement from Crown point to Ilford and return then was declared a failure the following day due to the fire bottles going off . 90036 returned and dragged 90024 to wembley yesterday then 036 returned and is out and about on Norwich-London trains today :)
@ Harcourt , great screenshots :) did'nt receive other email ! Did you get the 321?

Can I offer a tip - when taking screenshots, press pause first. That way, you avoid the iffy smoke effects as seen on this shot.
Harcourt: your computer must be a serious beast to even display all that - never mind calculating all the movement! :D :D

I know i know, but this is TRS, anything can happen. I use it more than the 377 due to the fact the rail roar from the 377 creates soo much bass.

Hmmm.......I'll advertise my new reskins here, as they're still depicted through screenshots (and the right people will see them here) ;)
I've got another batch of new reskins which are on their way to the DLS, and should be released via email service tomorrow (put much emphasis on the word "should" though) ;)
Because of the ongoing "problems" with the email service, I will soon be relaunching my old website, which will give a third way of downloading my content (DLS, email service and now website). So, those who have problems with both the DLS and with receiving content via my email service will have an alternative place to get it, and..........vice versa! ;)
But enough waffle, on with the reskins....
Mk1 FO green & white "Pride of the Nation" coach, as used in the formation of charter trains (with thanks to David Dawson for the side-on pic)
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/8418/screen705lr5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Mk1 test train coach No.999606 in Network Rail yellow - (complete with new retextured ends, not visible in pic)
http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/1054/screen717lh5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Mk1 Over Head Line equipment storage coach No.975554, in rusty/faded BR non standard departmental grey livery. Perfect for scrap yards or for scenery in old sidings....some of you who frequent Doncaster will have seen this, as it's currently sitting in Donny West Yard rotting away :D
http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/5066/screen723vi6.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Plus, I'll be releasing my GNER mk2 barrier coach, FGW unbranded green Mk1 barrier coach, my reskin of Mike10's class 35 Hymek, and my reskins of Nexus's power cars and Mk.3 coach (Hitachi). Hope to have all these released tomorrow, but it will more than likely be a big bulk release in a few days time, as I've only packaged half of them up, and not all of them have been sent to the DLS yet.
Plenty to look forward to.....comments appreciated :)

That would be Roger's Red van, carrying all his Cl45 bits. You might see me trackside at Alton again on Saturday, as Roger, a few others and myself are helping to empty out the GUV.
Try wheelbarrowing from Alton Stn to the GUV (blue van), trying to avoid everything, which was fun, especially when the wheelbarrow is jumping up and down the non ballast sections in the cess! All this while trying to avoid the Kettles. Hmm, I wonder what the weather would be like on sat, if lunch calls before a complete job, we may end up picnicing by the bank again! :)
That confused me last Saturday, when after I finished talking to the station master at Alton (he knew me instantly by name!), I went back, looked for the crew, not on track, go down the bank.... not in the van. Ok, I try the GUV... they were right by the bank, eating already! Plus Roger had my bag with my laptop and lunch in it, already waiting for me. Supprised? I was. Then another one joined us, the group gets larger every day! :)
Oh and the drivers need to give us a little bit more warning too, I heard from Mike "Err... Roger, train comming", "(Censored!)", (loco whistle then sounded) so, theres me, in the cess, next to the bank, they're in the 6ft with the barrow, so they are safe (hide under a wagon!!!), what do I do?
Lean against the bank and got pricked by a prickly plant (Thorn?) and I never heard the end of that for a day after, as whatever got me, was lodged into a recess in my finger... Ouch....!
They on the other hand, had to get the barrow as far away as possible and hide as well!
And yes, looking for anyone while driving is nigh impossible when tender first!
EDIT:
College on Friday! :) Oh, here comes the homework. :( I'll probably type up my notes by the bank as well, if I need to. :)

what a fun day you had lol!!! when i'm on the footplate you know when i'm comin as i'm 'whistle mad' any opptunity to blow the whistle, i'm there! :hehe:, espacially if i'm on a bullied, best whistle ever!
Anyway i spent the day helpin the rangers (12-16yr olds thank god i'm not a ranger anymore:hehe:) dispose of bodmin, while also helpin steam wadebridge and blowing her whistle at 73096 as she passed with a service train. :p

Hmm, I was going to ask if she was having her exam, but I just realised, thats the Standard Five, right?
I know one of them has a dodgy tender axle, as when we are trackside, we hear it a lot.
Bodmin (last week) seemed to had a dodgy firebox with the ammount of water on it and as for Wadebridge? I hear she likes to reject her tender sometimes! ;)
Working can be fun, perhaps its the staff shortages that are causing problems.

Hi there,
where to start, can pac's tender has flats, bodmins tender has flats and wadebridges tender has flats! Bodmin is havin another boiler inspection i think to see if her crown plate it still there as it has croded quite alot.
What you hear about wadebridge is true!!! some one forgot to put a split pin through the pin which hold the draw bar in place, and as its a merchant navy tender it is higher up than the footplate. So what we think happened was with breaking and accelratin etc the pin work it self up and jst falled out.
The footplate crew said all they heard was a loud bang and thought they had hit something like a deer!!! But when they examined the loco at medsted they discovered the tender was about 6" away from the loco than normal.
Steam locos thier all fun and games :hehe:

Got that right, sounds like they had a right old time with that old girl! I wonder HOW they forgot the pin? Must be fun towing it though.

Yes, a newer version, which when I was remaking the 141, I took the opportunity to update RB002.
why do my shots not work? do I have to still have them in the photobucket album?
you need the ['img] and ['/img] tags around them and they need to stay in your photobucket album. (note, take out the ', I added it in, so the forum doesn't get confused).

Well most of them ecept wadebridge are coming to the end of their 10 year ticket and so will need a overhaul. At the mo 92212 is havin a re-tube and new brick arch which will take about a year to do. Can Pac is due for an overhaul in a yrs time. 73096 will need a boiler lift  and the ivatt needs the cylinder cocks the replaced with the BR standard ones. Not the ***** Ivatt ones which break even if you flicked them, which is why at least one drain cock leaks.

Well most of them ecept wadebridge are coming to the end of their 10 year ticket and so will need a overhaul.
I know one is leaving the railway, because the owner isn't happy (might be best if you PM me this one - if the whole story is comming out), but I am not sure which loco, Roger always points it out and IIRC, its one of the ones due for an overhaul, I forgot which one it is.
Oh, 60017 'Bittern' doesn't need an overhaul yet, shes only just returned to service! If I am right, shes still out on the mainline, right?

Its 60019 Bittern Russ ;). No.17 is my favourite A4, Silver Fox, which also went by the number 2512. Anyway from what I have read about Bittern it has been temporally withdrawn from service, as during mainline testing the middle big end ran hot. I also heard that it will be returning back to the MHR to have the middle big end re-mettled. Nothing major though. Also as you probably will know/get to know, one of the locos that will not deffinatly not be leaving but is nearing its time for an overhaul is Can Pac, reason for that not leaving is its now owned by the MHR.

BRITISH RAILWAYS
-NOTICE OF CLOSURE-
All services will be withdrawn on and from Monday 9th September.
The Minister of Transport has given consent to the Board's proposal to discontinue all Passenger and Freight services between Fairfax St. Robert and Bishop's Deverill.
The terms of the Minister's consent can be examined at local booking offices.
Just days away from completion of my Bishop's Deverill layout, my computer crashed and went haywire (most likely as a result of sabotage by a local bus company), and as a result I lost everything, including my first serious layout. :'(
Fortunately, on the day of what was unwittingly the last train to run over the Bishop's Deverill Branch Line before Dr. Beeching brought his axe crashing down on it's unassuming head, photographers were able to take the following pictures.
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/Gussie_Fink-Nottle/BishopsDeverill7-1.jpg

http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/Gussie_Fink-Nottle/Brinkley2.jpg
Actually, with hindsight, this seems a bit over the top for a route that never even got as far as the DLS, but it meant a lot to me as my first real attempt at a route. Sorry for inflicting the whole unneccessary Notice of Closure bit on you. :(

Zoid, how many times did you pass me and never said "hi" and I see you were enjoying the last few steams left on Bodmin. I noticed you were on the W&D train, nice rake of Pullmans too. I also see what you mean by the whistle, especially when blowing out Roger, who came looking for me and found me on the end of Alton station (I most certaintly wasn't going to cross the bridge with your train approaching!).
Still, maybe we should call you the "whistle blower". Now to put a name on that photo thats hanging up in the 'loge.
(and yes, I was a bit too shy today, HJP, need I say more? Although, I was trying to get through the day without thinking about him, which was successful, managed to talk to Roger about HJP too.).
While talking about Bodmin and her increadbly hot cab, you'd think I'd never get in her, right?
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g217/wessexelectricnut/Real%20Trains/DSCF0946.jpg
WRONG! I was having a poke around in the cab, because the driver wanted a photo of him (for memories) before the loco totally ends its days in service. I had my camera on me and agreed to email him the photos, while I was sweating on the footplate and viewing the controls, (magnifiicant sight BTW, esp seeing the fire burning!) they snapped one of me on old Bodmin.
After that, I had to go back to shoveling the ash to the other side of the container, nice to see atleast 15 tonnes gone!
Just means that I was lumbered with brushing down the side, with a mix of water, detergent, parafin (Which did affect me! My body wasn't liking it at all!) and something else Roger added.
Now to paint the side, before it gets ashed in again! Oh, my feet are killing me!7

Hi there,
Last night was awsome, bodmin was steamin like a witch, had to let her blow on the way from alsford to ropley just to make some water space!
With Roger in the siding somewhere, it gave me the great excuse to blow the whistle for most of the sidein :hehe:. That bulleid whistle sounds awsome at night (it ecos really well) and i must make the most of her before she 'dies'.
You think bodmin's footplate is hot, wait till you get a chance to go on wadebridge!!!

Yeah, I could hear you from Butts, although the station master thinks your train was going a little fast! (Not supprising, since it was 5 down!). As for the whistle, yeah, you got that right! She sounds even better when worked hard, I often shout out "COME ON!!! WHACK IT UP!". (God, I sound like such a basher. By the way, how well can you see reflective orange jackets at night? Roger thinks not very well, I think they reflect brilliantly at night. (Thats what they were designed for.)
By the way, Bodmin was blowing off most of yesterday, any reason why?
EDIT:
While on the subject of tea kettles, you might like this shot, I edited out the poles, but I am not convinced by the steam smoke, so making it look natural is a little hard.

Hi Andrew, the metal fencing is one that was included in Railwaves's West Somerset Railway pack. Tafweb however has one, but is a bit more detailed and could reduce the rps!:) See here http://www.tafweb-trainz.co.uk/downloads.html in fences.

what's happning to Bodmin?
Her 10 year boiler ticket (IIRC) has expiried. It did get 20 more steamings afterwards though. Otherwise, she needs a overhaul before she can be used again.
EDIT: As sad as it sounds, after Bodmin needs an overhauled boiler (unless the owners can find some big money fast!), the likelyhood of her being used again, becomes pretty remote. Swanage is a typical example of a loco that ran, now rusting away in the headshunt, due to the lack of money. Now that Bittern is in service, the chances are pretty remote, unless all of the other locos expire as well and the MHR has a big loco shortage next year.

hmm with bodmin it was proberly over fireing or that because she is on her last legs her boiler pressure has been reduced to 225psi. This was done because her crown plate is just above the rec thickness, and with that i've been told to keep the water gauge with about 3/4's full.

Does look kinda big but looking at these shots of the real thing against coaching stock it doesn't look to be far out in terms of the coach cantrail to loco nose height. Maybe the centre section roof is a little high? Can't find a pic of a Deltic up against Pullman stock so maybe we should compare it against some MKIs.

I've checked the deltic, it's about 1-2 inches too short, and is about 1-2 inches too high. I'd say that was down to it being slightly too high on it's bogies rather than the actual model, but for a inch it's hardly worth changing it.

Perhaps I should charge DRS a fee for designing their class 86 colour scheme, then ;)
Both locos are at Brush, now. Word is, both locos are being re-geared (to increase their tractive effort) as DRS have decided they can't justify using pairs on their intermodals.

The 81/5 is the class and then group (mark) number this can be seen on the class 66 you know how old is by looking at the third number for example 66012 is an orginal group of 66's while 66721 is one that has only just arrived in this in country and is a younger loco.

I'm fully aware of how the TOPS classification system works.
66012 and 66721 have differing sub-classifications to distinguish who it is that leases them - EWS in the case of the former, First GBRf in the case of the latter. It doesn't give an indication of the age of the individual loco - if that was the case 66727 would be newer than 66430.
Incidentally, there isn't (and never has been) a class 81/5 - though I believe the Wembley ECS locos were unofficially referred to as class 81/9, on account of their restricted speed.

And finally this ancient set at Fencehouses were built of stone blocks so I"ve used "Stone Retaining Wall Dirty".Real Coal Drops often had a small sign "Engines Are Not Allowed On These Depots" and I"ve simulated this by pacling a red "Stop" Signal Board on the right. This stops Alistair from driving a Deltic onto the Drops! :'( http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/7682/coaldropsatfencehousesku2.jpg

Macwilly, have a look on the DLS for "java23".
I must also ask the same question of Harcourt... haven't seen those nice semaphores before either. And can anybody tell me what the white "shield" behind the signal arm is for... is that a visibility type thing?

Here's a photo of the signal in it's real location, but from the rear side. Hopefully it'll give you some clue as to the reason for the extra board. No bridges, but I guess the line of sight of the driver passes through the signal to the signal box.
Somewhere I'm sure I have a better photo (from the other side), showing just how useful this board is.

Yes, it's on the Dunster side. I actually visited the caravan site on the other side of the station loads of times, and there's a path alongside the railway for a short distance next to the beach.
Anyway, I couldn't find an electronic copy of the photo I meant (must be on film somewhere), so I went into Trainz and took one:
http://lh6.google.co.uk/bidmod/RvpfAW8apiI/AAAAAAAAA0g/b-QwTkcFaCU/s800/Blue%20Anchor%20Outer%20Home.JPG
It appears to be the trees, rather than the station itself that are causing the problem. Red signal on green/brown vegitation.
By the way, this is another place I'd recommend visiting - especially since trains pass here once every hour on the gold timetable.

Have you uninstalled it completely first? It says in the manual that you can't install both the standalone and into TRS06 at the same time (though for some reason you can install it into TRS04).

How can a make these look more desolate and moorish? I know textures aren't my strongpoint (that's why I put them off), but I think I need darker grasses and heathers - what do people think? Is there a really good backdrop that would hide the lack of depth too?

You should be able to do it through Add/Remove programs, found in the control panel. Look for an item marked "Train Driver", and click "change/remove", then he computer will do the rest (it's on page 5 of the manual, if you need a reference).
After you've done that, reinsert the Train Driver disk, and follow the instructions again, but for TRS06.
