This is my first visit to this thread, and it is truly amazing. The care, attention and detail are breathtaking. Hats off to all of you!

I should have posted my Seton Line here, but thought it was only a small thread!

Seton Line is my first real attempt at a route.

Cheers

Just playing with imageshack's features, I hope this comes out OK...if it goes blank, then it's back to the drawing board.
If it does, there'll be a few more to follow on my screenshot emporium soon.

That's when I don't mind photo textures too much, when you can actually see into the windows and doors (in applicable cases), which means I like that 47, will you be releasing it?

This is part of my new WIP route, which doessn't yet have a name. These photos show a class 58 (001), pulling a very small, but very important, freight train and waiting for the points to throw at the end of the goods siding near Aldwych. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd107/hymek/coalville.jpg
our final view shows 27056 taking away the empties, leaving 3 remaining full wagons to be emptied when there is room for the fuel, and collected at a later date, by the next trip working. Coalville was unusually empty for a sunday, usually it is full of coal trains ready for Monday departure, but there was engineering works, so the coal trains are due to leave at an alternate facility.

You have to download the zip file, then extract the rar file it contains ( I use "RarZilla Free Unrar" ), then extract the cdp file (both files are in the 1 cdp file).

I have checked with TO and I do have both the Wood and the Brick parts listed as seperate "Scenery" items.

Hope this helps.:)

Right then,

fresh out of the works was a Black 5 - 45050 from Northampton shed, here we see it on possibly the most diverse mixed freight ever?

Not visible in these shots, as I have only just done it, but I have fettled with the tender so it now as a much clearer logo.

SHOTS ARE AGAIN IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

Hi ex,
The specialist says the drops are starting to control the pressure so hence I have been fiddling with that old route and revamping it. Nobody seems to have guessed what it was once, a long time ago...
But then it is unrecognisable now with 2 deep water docks added, a long sea wall run, china clay works, an aggregate mining system and stacks of new industries else, plus more stations and revamp old ones.

And 3/4 of it are 4-tracks, so fast and slow ones, great fun. Some stations have Royal Mail facilities, not sure how I can get those to work yet!

Getting there - slowly, I can't do too much at once and usually end up doing just that! Well, we all know what it's like once you fire up Trainz.

It keeps me busy and my mind off recent events, those memories come back all too soon still I am afaird.

Thanks ex,

Angela

I'm a bit confused Dave, I take my screenies using FRAPS, and altered it to take them in JPEG ages ago, but when you come to download them onto here using imageshack, all the options have a PNG in the URL line, so I don't know which one is the best....

The reskin is of Pikka's 37 (all i did was modify (Hue/lighting) the original blue texture in PC Image Editor to match teh railwaves Mk1 coaches), and won't work when aliased (not on my comp, anyway.) and I didn't bother numbering it because it's very tempremental at the minute.

I'm not going to release the class 37 as it doesn't use my own textures (I just hue shifted and lightened them), it uses the br blue textures modified from the blue split headcode 37 on the dls transferred to the reskin base 2 Class 37, Also I'm using TRS 2006 + SP1 and I've sorted out the aliasing problem on the class 37, but not on most other models, e.g, WENS class 150.

hmm, a blue and grey check design I seem to remember? Solid blue headrests. It certainly mirrors the rail blue colour scheme.

I recall those seats were in a black and grey check design with faux black leather head and arm rests. Cherry wood veneered panelling and black and grey striped carpeting. Orange I think was present in the curtains and, possibly, the carpeting for the corridor firsts. Sounds like the perfect decor for the 1970s!

Just a few shots of a new bridge from me...
:)

I have my doubts that a bridge of this construction would be able to support a locomotive. The span is far too wide and it has a curve in it. I'm afraid you will have to rethink that one. or put some supports under it.

Definitely not Ilford as that station is in a sort of trench & there's only 4 tracks.
If i had to make a guess, I'd say Stratford but anyway, nice shot Dave. :D

Time to show off, against my own rules, but hey, maybe I should lift the ban for once.

Left is the refurb version of the railbus to the right. Only one was made and is in the state of the one to the left. I just wanted to refurbish it a bit. A drastic and impossible refurbishment as the interior has got partitions by the doors, new seats and luggage racks, as well as routing the exhaust by the body. It hasn't escaped the sprinter mods either! (purely fictional refurbishment, but something I'd love to carry out on RB002.)

To wind 159james up and a few others that want a 150 and a 142 :)

There are a few errors to sort out sadly, one being the bogies, the others the door and the final one, is the specular highlight colour, which I cannot trace what is causing the offset colour on the underframe or the body.

The 150 was made by Obi1knobby but he took thefiles from his site down a few months ago. The one in Wessex Electric Nutters shots are by him avaible at http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~burgess/pages/Mk3s.html. there are also some at http://skodatrainz.co.uk/5.html

Hope this helps :)

Just a few from me to showcase Peter Hicks' excellent new Mk2f's which I'm running with Nexusdj's reskinned Mk1 BG and catering vehicles - they don't look too bad as a stop-gap measure. :p

Deltic 55004, Queen's Own Highlander, brings in the 07.47 "Leeds Executive" for Kings Cross into platform 5 at Ancaster Eastgate...
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n264/paulsw2/Ancaster-LeedsExecutive1.jpg

During its 2 minute stay on platform 5, a container train from Healey Mills to Barrow runs through the up goods line behind an unidentified class 37...
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n264/paulsw2/Ancaster-LeedsExecutive2.jpg

The deltic storms away from platform 5, rapidly overhauling the container train as they both head towards Ancaster East Junc. just through the tunnel.
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n264/paulsw2/Ancaster-LeedsExecutive3.jpg

Many thanks to Peter for these great new carriages (and to Nexus - your Mk1 reskins aren't redundant quite yet!)

G'day all,

Just sent a layout to the DLS, titled LYNTON AND BARNSTAPLE MODEL RAILWAY (not all in caps lock, though). It's based on an article in (I think) either the Model Railway Constructor or Railway Modeller, June '82 edition. Not sure, though. Anyway, it's based on Blackmoor Gate and Lynton stations. Between the two is a quarry sit (overgrown), but most of the machinery and buildings are there. Just further up the line is a hotel, The Anchor Inn. Here the line crosses a lane that leads up to the hotel (I like to think of it as my Fawlty Towers! ) Past that is the yard at Lynton. There is a small three-track fiddle yard just past Blackmoor (as if you were heading on to Barnstaple). The layout has workign signals and is extremely detailed. Try to spot the mad stallion and its owner! :D There is also and overgrown castle in there somewhere...

Some pics of the route:-

I wasn't joking about the stallion and its owner-

errrrr, well as a smoker myself Paul, I couldn't possibly comment......I set fire to my office once when I worked on the railway. Forgot to ensure all the nub ends were out before I emptied the ashtray into a waste paper basket, boy, did I get it in the neck.....:o

Here's a great screenie from Perchpole's Class 46 cab, most drivers I knew were always chuffing away, worse than steam locos some of them. I cannot quite read the name on the fag packet, I don't think there Rothmans, might be Embassy Blue, or John Players No.6.....:hehe:
