Thanks very much for the comments. Don't worry about the rusty rail splines, they are under ten polygons a section.
The grass spline you mentioned is by Jankvis and it's called JVC-Grass46s - Grass only (kuid2:328583:1149:3), it's available on the DLS.
The small fence is a Woodhead communication wire spline by pgmetcalf (kuid:82763:1027), also on the download station.
The small stone wall is part of a three piece set for a tunnel entrance. The spline is made by fred24 and I think it's available on the DLS (PL 1V Tranchee | kuid2:185550:38090:1).
The HHA is a reskin of a model by Mike Banfield. If he gives permission I'd be happy to share it.

In IC125s post the trains are a Class 377 and Class 357. They are avaible on www.railwaves.com (http://www.railwaves.com). But he has reskinned them, and he can't reskin them due to them being payware
In Birdbrains post , the board is called Panneau Annonce and is avaible on the DLS
In my post the voager is avaible from the same site as IC125s 377 and 375.
I hope this helps

Bah, you're quite welcome to it because they are great reskins :)
I'm completely behind with all my reskins, as I'm totally bored with Trainz at the moment. I managed to bag a few more side-on pics recently, so perhaps I might be enticed to doing some more reskins. Don't know if or when I'll release any more though, I'm afraid to say. To be fair I've been really busy with the real thing to even give Trainz a second thought! :o
I have two routes which are ready to release, so I'll try to get those sorted out plus there's the remaining textures for Andy's class 60 that I need to finish and send to him.

Lovelly pics Emo. Could you tell me the name and source for the rusty roof warehouse in pic 5?
The HHA or FHH as some people are calling it has permission to be released by mike10, but currently the drawback is that when the sound is triggered for the loading or unloading, the sound can be heard over the whole map, regardless of it's location. I just need to update the syntax of the config. Will have a read how to correct this and post it in a few hours. I just posted in the Content Creation support thread regarding the sound issue, hopefully someone can fix it.

I'm liking your Island Line route Symon, you're making swift progress!
Is it a rework of my route or have you started from scratch? Are you working in '04 or '06?

Hi,
I decided to start from scratch it's in TRS2006 with sp1.
For some reason my computer doesn't seem to like '04 anymore!

Hi,
I decided to start from scratch it's in TRS2006 with sp1.
That's even more remarkable! I was gonna say even if it's based on mine, go ahead and upload it when you're done! :)
Is the trackwork accurate or is it semi-fictional? I'm guessing there is some 'artistic licence' involved as you have used straight stations. I have a trackwork only map you could have used which was laid onto the DEM using planning portal basemaps.
Are you using any of the custom assets I gave you (like the buffers, signs etc), or have you managed to find alternatives? - just seeing if there's anything I'll need to upload to the DLS.
Regards, Kev

The track layout is not exact but should be very similar but the distances should be about correct. From my tests so far you can run the trains to the Island Line timetable.
I've used straight stations for Smallbrook Junction, Sandown, Lake & Shanklin.
I don't think that I've used any of your custom assets but I'll check when it's finished!

Those old scrappers just oooze atmosphere don't they :)
Any opinions on the EWS HTA? If it's popular, I'll add the other 6 or so textures to the texture pack and try and get permission to release. The model was created by Eldavo. It does have a small drawback when using it with a non solid texture, but I think it maybe acceptable to some users (a thin line that stretches along the bottom of one side of the main side face). I'll take another screenshot later. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for your response 46035, sorry, forgot your name and it is late....:hehe:
I think you ought to go to Photobucket's website, as they have inundated the downloading process with so much advertising and even got people to write blogs whilst they wait for their stuff to download. It's a nightmare at present trying to do anything on that site, some of my screenshots on other threads have now disappeared, to my disgust, so I'm hoping to kick them into touch and use imageshack as my provider. I'll have to do a bit of experimenting to see what I can do, it's either that or no screenshots at all from now on.....:'(
Edit: screenies from imageshack haven't worked either, so I'll give up.

I've used photobucket for years and it's only different in one respect. It gives a thumbnail and the option to delete or upload, that's all. If you double-click though at the adding image process, you get adverts.
You could always use mediafire, but in my experience some ordinary innocuous image always gets rejected, so I gave up with them for all but big files. It's a doddle for those.

Yes Communist, it is a cementmixer on KUID 75810 by TRAMP, he did a few excellent items including a Cowans Crane and an Iron Ladle, that is self assembly.
Will endeavour to try once more with a screenie using imageshack, but if it fails, then I'l have to give up, cos I'm unsure what other image providers can offer me the type of service I require.
So I'll make it a goodie, and if it fails then so be it.
These absolutely superb boats are by kenichiro incidentally, his KUID is 117608, look for Squid Boat, they're animated with great surface shadows, and they bob up and down in the water, and make you quite seasick if you look at them long enough.....:hehe:
Happy trainzing everyone.....Not sure when I'll be back....

Some brilliant shots by all. Are we likely to see your big route on the DLS at some point escafeld?
Incidentally just to add my 2 pennyworth to the hosting debate, there is a way of having imageshack display just a normal picture without it embedding the dimensions in there too - just choose the 'direct link to image' URL from the list and paste it between the [IMG] tags using forum software. Works a treat.

Dave, I must say that route looks cracking. I really love the texturing effect you've created on the hills for the tunnel, I may have to look into seeing If I can replicate something like that for my fictional route. I also love the station you've shown. Reminds me slightly of a couple of real places, those being Leicester and Derby.

Quick picture from me of a Coal train on my fictional route, train is a double headed by 2x O4/1 Rod loco's, the train has 4miles of continuous 1in100 climb. Doubleheading and banking is a common feature on this part of the line.

...nope the map is on the hard drive I've taken out. It's not Derby, I've already done that. The textures are five of the built-in ones just scattered around, with one finger on the [ key. It's best if you do a square somewhere and paste the square on the hillside. Just add a few dabs of dark grass in the cracks and light/dry grass on the slopes. light/dry are my words, but I will find the textures.
If I do anything with the route it will not be on the DLS, but through mediafire.
Dave
Rob, I might just send you a baseboard with the textures on it. I'll get back to you as and when.

Thanks ! :)
The track is suitable for 2004 and beyond i believe, and is avaliable from the DLS, under the title of "DC Rail" (minus the quotation marks) There are the detailed versions, used in my screen, and a chunky mesh version, which is more FPS friendly.
I've been looking at that track and the sleepers look too close together and too small. It makes the Voyager look massive.
Most detailed tracks I have seen/used do have small sleepers for some reason :/
Does anyone remeber that high detailed German track that was released (Concrete sleepers, brown ballast) ? If you do, do you have a link i can obtain it from ?

I'm not convinced. Sleepers are relatively close together in the real world. Perhaps they need to be made a little wider but spacing wise they don't look too bad IMHO.

Hi lewisner, That Kuid number for those dock crane's is 1984:27789 You need to tick all the all the boxes i.e trainz classics, TRS2006, TRS2004, UTC, Trainz, PreSP3 Trainz. Sorry, since this is the first pic of the 47 I've posted on here I should have explained that the model is 99% tommylommykins' excellent work, with some helpful guidance from tmz06003. I've been playing with the source files Tom generously made available a while ago, adding a few features, bits and tweaks here and there. I've requested his permission to release it via the dls when it's done, so watch this space...

That looks better then the paywere verson :)
Bogies look a bit green? but some weathering and it will be the best 47 out there.

Greetings from Australia
Recently we were introduced to some fine Russian track via this thread.
I'd appreciate it if someone who has tried RMM's switches could tell me how to make them work. They don't seem to have an indicator in properties (like Andi06's do) and I've run out of ideas of how to make them work.
Appreciate any assistance.
And again - thanks everyone for the very enjoyable and quite inspiring screen shots you post.
All the best

Hi NickE
You may get a quicker response by starting a thread and bumping it up when it gets about to disappear off the page.

It's the way the original texture was mapped onto the model . :(
It's a shame Alan didn't release more liveries on his content as he could make a killing with today's "change em every 2 months" liveries ?!
maybe he could sell a base model with a basic texture mapped on it (with the usual distribution licence) so people could do what ever livery they wanted ?:)

"Kevaylett" your screenies look great, but in the second shot your single slip crossing should be laid out like thiis (below) The crossover part of the slip should extend between the frog and stock rail so that the sip has the greatest possible radius.Hope thi helps.. http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/71/diamondhallsinglesliper8.jpg

where are you talking about?
if it is the link in my sig then yes thats all you will see because its an aviation forum I started to display my photographs and hopefully in future when i work out how to add new sections for others to display theirs
but as far as i can see in my own post on this thread is rail related to a branchline that ran under the SDJR and that I did not create the model of the 14XX
