It's payware but that unit in those colours isn't available as I've re skinned it myself and Snowsignal doesn't allow distribution of reskins :(
Peter D Hicks is building the same unit (class 170) and hopefully like his class 156 he will allow distributed reskins :)

They're both mine
The pink 31 is 31601 in Wessex Trains pink livery, and the 37 is 37197 in DRS blue. 31601 is being released tomorrow (via the forum) and 37197 in a few weeks possibly......it's not finished yet.

Louise, rather than talk to you about this in the chat, I'll say it publically.
Firslty, you should know better about how high the juice is in the rails, it isn't 650v, its 100v more. :P
Secondly, the bloke next to the con rail/foot under the con rail... look closely...

BTW as you can see from the FRAPS indicator I got 26 FPS in that scene so I don"t think they have a significant effect on performance. In my previous shot of the 31s I only got 13 FPS but the lineside is a mass of splines and JVC vegetation, and the gardens of the houses are fully detailed.Plus, my PC has SLI graphics and I have it set to Quality rather than Performance.....:o

Delia

Both - You can either install the assets and route and use them within Trainz or I believe that you can use it as a stand alone sim. I installed them in to TRS, and you can't do both, so I haven't tried the stand alone version.

@Isaacg and L-C-H, thanks for the comments :). The loco is a class 25, the only place it can be found at the moment is my hard drive, but I expect to be able to release it VERY soon (hey, guess what day it is tomorrow ;) ), but that's pending a couple of people allowing me to use little bits of their locos.
The Mk1 coaches are from railwaves, available here (http://shop.alphatwofive.com/product_info.php?products_id=41)
The winter station is by me, the winter platform is by...me. Yet more Christmas presents I think.
The little goods shed is part of the West Somerset "Train driver" addon pack, and doesn't actually have a snowy roof, it's just the texture's a bit bright I think. The fences are built into TRS2004, the track is by FMA, available from http://www.trainz.hu

Garsdale, if the Hawes line wasn't closed, 156+158 for Leeds (in express livery), while a nodding donkey errupts in a cloud of black smoke as it does the honours for the branch line. (Garsdale - Hawes Headshunt). That leaver needs to move, before it rips the 156's underframe off!

Sorry WEN, but that Pacer looks absolutely awful. It looks like a cartoon train. No wonder the MSTS lot level the 'model railway' accusation at Trainz when we post screenshots like that. This is supposed to be the 'hi-res' section, in other words the best quality shots of Trainz that is possible for us to achieve.

Nope, you are right about that. Padstar, even if your rants are justified, you may want to note that the unit has not one single texture as of yet, so may take some time to correct.
(sorry, I am finding it difficult to think, after yelling "GET BACK" at a girl for almost stepping infront of a train going at 70mph! You did the right thing though, so try your best to forget about it and have some fun, there are silly people out there, you see them at Nuneaton station, well you hear them, because the Pendolino or whatever is blowing the horn like a war trumpet, some people think the rules don't apply these days, isn't it sad when a 18 year old says something like that eh? Then why are you displaying it in the 'hi-res' section? Why not start a 'WIP' section? I am not having a go at you, just offering my opinion, that's all., and I wasn't ranting. I thought you wouldn't mind a bit of criticism, seeing as you are so often eager to dish it out. I happen to think that this 142 is graphically poor compared to your other work.

Complete re-edit after getting some opinions about how the (orignal) post could be percieved.
I only dish out something when it doesn't (I feel) look right, as with the case of Alan's Turbostar. The fact is that many have pointed this out and he hasn't changed or listen, just left. What I would appreciate is if people actually point out something with the model, rather than the obvious fact that it isn't textured or not finished. What I do appreciate is if those that look at it, point out something of the body shape, door shape, overal length or underframe equipment. Yes, I haven't done a good job at showing its faults as the light is the completely wrong way.
Oh yes, please don't point out the front door, its been inverted, I just need time to correct it, to which I don't have.
EDIT: Third time around. Is there any justification for 2 screenshots to have their own specific work in progress thread, when they aren't going to be touch for atleast 3 months?

Well, it's not a single object, but here's how I built it: I used the "CGM bridge concrete dual 01" (KUID:49869:28134) as a base for my bridge and then I connected it to the FMA banks. After that I added the stone walls (by FMA as well) on the sides and finally I put a traffic sign against the bridge.
Hope this helps :)

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g217/wessexelectricnut/Trainz/Screen_284.jpg
Double trouble this time, not one unfinished, untextured object, but TWO! One has an interior, takes 64 passengers, has directional ligting and displays that can change (incorrectly set for Barking!), oh, it also has working doors (How many incomplete objects have those features then Padster?), the other one? Well, not looking so good, it has a body, it has windows, but it has very little in the way of features, only 2 interior panels (and they aren't complete) on both sides of the body, a full underframe, but no textures.

I am very pleased with the complete reskin, the only problem with it is that I cannot have the true number D5518 without the headcode boxes disapeering, so I usually put in D5581 but is there a way to remidy this so D5518 can be selected with headcodes?

I am doing that to wind you up! :P
Why start a work in progress thread, when really, there are a couple of shots to be uploaded? For me, 2 posts with WIP posts is just not worth it, it could go in the UK section, since everything around it is UK (Ok, ok, German Caternary, UK stock and an american layout isn't exactly a UK thing!). Besides, many authors do post some shots of WIP work here.
As for hi-res? You may want to check the meaning, it means high resolution. As in those that break the normal CoC rules, 800x600 with no warning, or upto 1600x1200 if you do put a warning for 56k users in the thread title.
"18. Posting of images, signature banners and avatars are subject to the Appropriate Content Guidelines and the following conditions:
Screen shots posted to the Trainz Community Discussion Forums should be in .jpg format and not exceed a maximum resolution of 800x600 pixels*. Any screen shots that exceed this limit will be modified to links or removed from the post altogether.
*The only exception to this is within the Screenshot forum. Screen shots posted to the Screenshot forum should be in .jpg format and not exceed a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 pixels, however, if your screen shot exceeds 800x600 you are required to include the maximum resolution used in the title of the thread. "
Now, with a wide diverse of users contibuting, you CANNOT warn everyone that there are 1024x768 shots, or upto the maximun, so putting in high res is a good warning for those using snial-up.

WEN, let me try to explain what I mean. Let's assume that you are kindly intending to release these 142's to the DLS eventually, then why not post them in the freeware announcements section? Lots of people post WIP pics there to give people a taster of what is to come (or to make their mouths water!)
I still think this is the wrong place to post pics that are unfinished. After all, posting pics of unfinished routes is frowned upon, isn't it?

I'm sorry, but all you've done there is changed the number and nameplate on my reskin of 47805 (which is the same livery). You haven't altered it enough to call it your own reskin - the rules clearly state that if a piece of content or a reskin is used as a base for another piece of content or reskin, then it must be altered by at least 60%, but simply changing the nameplate and number and then calling it your own reskin is just plain rude I'm afraid. Also, where did the permission come from to alter one of my reskins and then post a screenshot of it on a public forum? You haven't even credited me for the 95% of the reskin that you've used of mine. In future, please contact me in advance for permission, and also make sure you've altered the reskin enough to call it your own (i.e not just a very slight edit, as you've done). It's new year's eve, so I'm willing to let this one go, provided that you alter it more. You're not the first person to do this though.
A happy new year to everyone by the way :)

Sorry 46035, but I have to say something about this, I know that you said that you would let it go as its new year but I should like to pick up on the highligted parts of your post.
As far as permission goes, I can understand if Tl Blade had said that he intended to release the reskin, but no where in his post does it suggest that he wants to. He is using it for personal use and I don't see what harm can come of posting on a forum, which I would hardley call public seeing as you need a username and password to enter it.
And with what he has done for reskinning, he has reskinned it, when I was researching how to do it I never came across these golden rules that say you have to alter the paint job by at least 60%, I personally class a reskin as any noticeable cange to the current paint job. The work in progress 31 I posted a picture uses cjburgess's construstion 31 as a base with only 2 changes, sector and a name.
and WEN keep those WIP shots coming I personally enjoy seeing them.

Precisely........changing a nameplate and number isn't noticable.....in fact, his "reskin" of 47843 looks exactly the same as mine from that distance! Thanks for raising your points and making a good contribution to the discussion, but I'm certain that there are rules in place, as I remember reading them a while ago (although, I can't remember where.....think it may have been on UK Trainz). If it's a personal reskin, then that's fine, it's just that the way he worded it sounded to me like he was planning on releasing them. I won't go off topic by discussing this any further, but I think a fair way around this is to insert my own license into the configs of my reskins, stating that reskins using my textures that are intended to be released, will need prior approval from myself.
All the best,
Ben aka 46035

Yes, I'd have made the changes if I was using someone else's reskin as a base, to comply with the "guidelines" (if they do still exist). Or do you mean would I have made the changes to my reskin to create 47843? If so, then the answer is.....well yes, if somebody wanted 47843 doing ;)
I wasn't having a go at you by the way, so don't worry. As LNER has said, let's start the new year off with no arguments and with a 100% friendly forum :)

@Emo - The DRS 37 has some technical problems which need rectifying, most notably the fact that the couplings and the main lighting on the headcode panel have both disappeared, and this triggers one of the error messages. Other than that, the reskin is finished. I'll try to fix the errors on it today, and if I manage to do so I'll release it tonight :) If not, you'll have to make do with a 37 with some of the couplings missing! (to be honest, the headlight error isn't very noticable, so it's not really a problem). A photo textured EWS 37410 should follow :D

Hi all, I've been viewing this thread since I started with Trainz and all the shots are just great, thanks - keep them coming. It's proved good inspiration for me to work on my layouts when the going gets tough!
Although a repeat from another thread (http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=8321&page=3) (where you can see more images from this layout and others I'm working on), here are some quick screenshots from me: -
Sorry about the low resolution; I have to keep things fairly low to run smoothly, plus it's just how the screenshots seem to come out on my computer.

In the 1980s I used to work passenger trains as a Guard out of Kings Cross. However on one occasion I was sent to Ferme Park to take a train consisting of a single Van which I think was ex GWR and was full of "Exmover" which was the cleaning agent used in the Carriage Washer. The evil looking green fluid was seeping out of the van all the way round to Bounds Green where we left it.I think the motive power was an 08?
