Hi All,
Can someone please help to sort out this error message. I have tried different ways of giving the details in the input table but nothing seams to work. At the moment I have (turntable,turntable1616,5) I have also tried this (turntable,turntable1616,6) because my roundhouse has six stalls numbered from 0 to 5 but neither way works. I have only recently updated from TRS2004 to TRS2006 and I am quite happy with the way TRS2006 runs, very little trouble at all and it seems much smother than TRS2004. Only the sound issue is a bit of a pain.

Hi Paul,
The turntable is andi06's kuid 122285:11500. I have tried all different commands ie. move to next stop, move to stop xx. Nothing seams to work,\.

I take it that you are using Atilabarut's turntable related commands? If so the error message is probably being generated there (its not coming from my object)

Hi andi06,
Yes I am using atilabarut's input table for the turntable commands. I was not trying to suggest there is something wrong with the turntable or the input table, I am just asking if anyone has any advise on what to do to fix it. I have read the tutorials and have downloaded the Mini Suburban layout with turntable test as a scenario. The turntable test scenario does not help very much as it uses triggers and all the tutorials I have found use trackmarks.
Thanking you,

No, I wasn't implying that you were. I've no experience of using Atilabarut's commands with this table. <kuid:122285:11500> has its own script and this may not be compatible with the driver commands, perhaps someone else could advise.
There is an alternative table <kuid:122285:1500> which is the same model but unscripted and will almost certainly be fully compatible.
Alternatively there is a tutorial by Jivebunny on the UK Trainz site (linked here (http://forum.uktrainz.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3846)) which details how to control the scripted table in TRS2006.

Hi andi06,
Thanks I have the nonscripted turntable and I have a printout of jivebunny's tutorial. The tutorial starts with the statement it assumes you have a scripted turntable, so I thought this was nessessary. I will try the nonscripted one and see what happens.
Thanks for your help.

Its necessary for Jivebunny's technique but it might conflict wit Atilabarut's. :-)

maybe a stupid question, but do you have an engine on it, I dont think an empty table will turn

Ok...to begin with...that turntable has 24 stops not 5 or 6. To find the number of stops you must open the config.txt file in Explorer. Also...try changing the name of the turntable from turntable1616 to something less cryptic without integers in the name (like MainTurntable or YorkTurntable). It's been my experience that the InputTable rule doesn't work well with numbers before the comma that separates the name of the turntable from the number of stops. For further information, please refer to the following thread:

Hope this helps...:)

P.S. The AI can work the turntable from any adjacent track. There doesn't have to be a loco on the turntable.

Hi Zorronov,
Yes I finally figured out that it should have 24 stops but still can't get it to work, I have made up a turntable script (turntable.gs) and put it in the DIR that the config file is in but still nothing. I will now try your method and see what happens.
Thank you very much,

did you try Zorronov it may take time as you need the trackmarks in the right pisition for the loco to get on the turntable and stop on it correctly.

Hi Zorronov,
Yipeee, it works. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said it has trouble with numbers in the turntable name. I changed the name of the turntable to "Sthport Turntable" and it worked with no other alterations. The only small thing now is getting a loco to come out of the roundhouse. Do you have to put invisible track on the side opposite to the roundhouse tracks so the loco will drive up to the trackmark at the far end of the turntable? Or is there some other way?
Cheers, and thanks again,

Great, Bill! Yes, invisible track is the answer. It will give the AI room to maneuver. Check out locoone's tutorial "Turning Bigboy on the Turntable" (no mean feat!) for info on using invisible track. It can be found here:

P.S. titaniclover...the error message is generated by input into the InputTable rule not by trackmark placement. Adjusting the position of trackmarks comes after you get the rule to work. :)
