description doesn't show in CMP

Here I go again.

I've just made a new asset from scratch - my first. It's just a little sound file. Everything works well, except the description doesn't show up in CMP. I entered the description via CCP, and It's in the config file ok, but CMP has nothing? I've committed and re-edited, and committed and closed/opened CMP any number of times now, but nothing seem to make any difference. How come????

Next question: That was a lot of work, as I had to learn everything from scratch. Now I have a number of files I need to make, and they're virtually identical except for the wav file. Is there some easier way to make new assets from an existing one (so I can just make the appropriate change with the wav), or do I have to make every single one from scratch???
I know I can clone my asset, but then I can't remove the "clone" status?

I know I ask a lot of questions. I do try to search for the answers first here on forum, but haven't had any luck finding any threads with these subjects.

Odd, I just cloned the file, and the description shows up in the clone, but still not in the original???????

Continued..

I saved the asset to cdp. Then deleted the asset in CMP. Then imported the cdp file. And now it shows the description.

Well, that's one way of getting it, I guess. But surely, this cannot be the way you have to do this every time??????
