session tutorials?

I am thinking of having a go at creating some sessions for different routes.
I have to crawl before I can walk obviously but I want to try and set it up so it is basic to begin with but interesting. A lot of stuff is setup with triggers right?

Are there any tutorials available?

but i think you'll find theres no substitute for trial and error, i suggest you open a map i surveyor place some trains and make them do things till you get it working, try the dls for new commands and rules,
