View Full Version : Modual route idea

I got an idea for a route I'm working on. Basically it would be a sort of experiment as to what people can do with pre-given stuff. Here goes:

I started a route not to long back that is themed to be on the NEC at this time it has a largeish underground terminus station, a large city (thanks to dmdrake), a river crossing, and a smaller station for the Merto line. The route currently is 4-track overhead electric with a 2-track 3rd rail joining up for some time.
My "challenge" to you would be to see what you guys could come up with by adding on to this route. The rules at this point would be simple:
No 2 people can be working on the route at the same time (there would be a sign-up sheet)
You must stick with the "theme"
All assets not on the DLS must be listed in the corresponding thread along with where you can get them
No Payware
You must follow the individual route instructions (yes I'm considering starting more than one)
You must work from the latest version of the map
More to come later
So what are peoples thoughts about doing this? I am also considering turning my Hungarian themed layout into one; and I may come up with other ideas (feel free to suggest any)

The primary thread about this is located at the PCC forums which you can get to by clicking "Forum" at http://www.passtrainz.net

That would depend on what you wanted to add to the route when you got your turn.

and are we aloud to use usa buildings to help with the theme or no.

as long as the theme of the route stays and what you use is freeware anything is fair game.

okay, cause i extend all routes toward frieght yards, and frieght industries.

any freeware is fair game, and payware is out right
