Hello
I'm looking for a US Western Themed route (preferably not haveing any traces of UP on it) Thats about an hour to and Hour and a half end to end. I like Dermmy Clovis Sub but I can't find more then Half of the textures, same goes for Suburbs of Colorado on USLW.
I would prefer if the route had most of its assets on the DLS and that it has Alot of Eye Candy.

Perhaps consider PortOgden&Northern.
Maybe not quite "western", but all the assets are on the Download Station and it's quite extensive in size.
A few screen shotz here:

I already have the PO&N I love it! Your routes are great phil.
I already heavily use the PO&N ^, but for the Western prototype route I chose Dermmys Clovis Sub (which after spending 4 hours finding what CMP didn't get on the DLS is working finally!).
Still missing 4 kuids though.

So to clarify you want a Desert route? Western can mean non-desert like Oregon, Washington, Northern California.

Head on over to TrainzProRoutes also for Montana Rail Link and Cumberland to Connesville, both very big layouts, and Sandpatch which is a winter-themed route. On the DLS there are the routes by neilsmith749, compudoc, and gfisher, which are also huge with lots of "eye candy", some can take over 2 hours to drive across, depending on track speed, of course....
The longest route I have played on is Feather River by Jack Straessle, but you may prefer to update the track that was used. It takes nearly 4 hours at 35mph to complete, with your huge freight consists.....
Not many desert-type layouts around, the only good one I can think of is Desert Mountain Plains by eso, but it's only about 30 miles in length....
These are all for TRS2004, unsure if there are any in TRS2006 with SP1.

After reading this thread I d/loaded the "Desert Mountain Plains" route and on first look its great, however its covered with trees/shrubs across the tracks in places which only appear when your on top of them, so very unrealistic and annoying. No problem I thought I'll just go through and delete them, but when I click on find object they do not show up ? So I'm at a loss as to what they are, can anybody help whos using this route ?
Thanks

They are probably splines. Click the Spline icon and try to pick out the objects.
If you want a long desert route will sparse scenery, look for Robe River Iron.

They are textures. If you have TRS2004 you can use Trainz Object to replace them with other textures.

I must be missing a lot of content. The route it devoid of any trees, grass, shrubs or any vegetation at all. Except for a handful of industries and small towns, the entire route looks like a wasteland. Is this the same one that's on the DLS?
