View Full Version : New Route - BNSF Clovis Sub West
Dermmy
February 9th, 2008, 05:13 AM
Do you fancy driving a hot 8000 foot intermodal 'Z' Train headed by a trio of BNSF SD70ACEs with a pair of SD40-2s shoving on the rear over an undulating route at line speeds up to 70 mph? Or would you rather leave the driving to the Trainz AI and concentrate on keeping trains running as seven different Portals produce and consume over 100 trains in a 24-hour period? Or perhaps would prefer to amble out of Belen yard in an old GP60 at the head of a couple dozen assorted freight cars and spend a few hours switching the Madrone industrial spurs?
Whatever your Trainz preferences this one is for you....
This release features the western end of the Clovis Sub. From the division point yard at Belen NM the line stretches eastwards covering over 60 miles of modern high-speed double-track main line. Leaving Belen the line crosses the Rio Grande River and passes the industrial area of Madrone before beginning a relentless climb to the single-track bottleneck through Abo canyon and on up to the summit of the line at Mountainair then down hill to a point just east of the tiny hamlet of Willard NM. Future releases will continue the line Eastwards to the Union Pacific junction at Vaughn, the famous Fort Sumpter Bridge and eventually on to Clovis.
The route was built in TRS04 and installs and runs in TRS06SP1. It is untested in later versions of Trainz. The route is 'lo poly' for most of the way, but the area around Belen is more taxing. Suggestions for optimizing frame rates are included in the notes on the pages linked below.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Links to download the route and all non-DLS content can be found on this page (http://checkrail.com/clovisroute.htm).
For anyone unfamiliar with the route, screenshots can be found here (http://checkrail.com/clovis_sub.htm).
--------------------------------------------------------------------
SESSION: Belen Dispatcher
Details of an introductory session can be found on this page (http://checkrail.com/session_1.htm). The page includes detailed notes and suggestions for an open-ended session which can run for hours.
Please note that the session requires a reasonably fast machine to run.
Content for the session may be a problem. There are links for non-DLS content at the foot of the Session release page (link above), but there may be other content either missing or possibly not available. Please post in this thread and I will endeavour to find anything missing. Should anything prove completely unattainable I will re-do the thing as required....
Please note that the Session is built in TRS06SP1 and will not install in TRS04. The reasons for this are explained in the pages linked to above.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
SUPPORT
For support relating to route or session issues and session content, please post in this thread.
For support relating to rolling stock dependencies for the session, a quicker response may come from posts in the forums of the Trainz group responsible for that content...
-------------------------------------------------------------------

8) Thanks Dermmy!
Do we have to load the trains in the session?
Are there any locomotives added to the sessions, ie. I have configured files to my liking, would any other than what you have listed be changed?
Dermmy
February 10th, 2008, 06:21 AM
Hi Allen
All trains with 'visible' loads in the session load using the 'InstantLoad' driver command. Trains with 'invisible' loads are left empty to keep the weight down and decrease the chance of trains rolling through red signals. No config changes are needed.
Only one train actually loads while on the line and that is a quarry train that runs from the Albuquerque Portal to the ATSF Ballast Quarry and returns to Albuquerque. This train also uses the 'InstantLoad' command.
Hope that answers your questions....
Andy :)

kuid:203465:20004190 - yep that's the route. I have noticed on occasions that TRS06/CMP will 'edit' kuid numbers on downloaded assets.
Suggested (but untried) fix...
Open CMP and check the route kuid. If it is NOT 203465:20004190 then open the session config (via CMP/Edit in Explorer) and alter the 'map-kuid' tag to reflect the route kuid as installed on your system. If you are not confident with such edits, clone the session first...

The NS C40-8 is indeed at RRMods, at the link given on the session download page. If you are getting a 404 error it is probably because you are not registered/logged in at RRMods. The RRMods Homepage link is also on the session download page.
45324:100037:1 and 100081:1 are the USLW SD40-2 and SD40-2B pack from USLW. Link is on the session download page.

Looks like a fun route and I have it running but am missing several kuids for the session.

I have been through the downloads three times now and believe I have hit them all so I am not getting something that I need but where is the question.

I noticed in the tutorial that mention is made of trailer trains but no trailers are showing. What trailers should be showing up?

Dermmy
February 27th, 2008, 04:31 AM
Hey Mr D
Everything you are missing is linked to near the bottom of this page (http://checkrail.com/session_1.htm).
Specifically you are missing:
- all of Sp-or-bust's C44 -8 and -9 variants from TrainStation (the 2113556 kuids);
- all of cnr's BNSF Wellcars from TPR Download Station (the 95761 kuids);
- some of the RRmods 60 foot boxcars (all the other kuids);
As to the trailer trains, no trailers will show in Surveyor - the spine cars will be empty - but they should show up in Driver. You should have them, AFAIK the trailers are packed with the spinecars.
What is the kuid of the missing horn?
Let me know if you continue to have problems...
Andy :)

Thanks, after reloading the well cars several times I have them but with error messages that I can't seem to solve although I have tried all the old tricks. 20ft and 40ft tags not allowed. I think something to do with the brackets but can't seem to get it worked out.
the horn is 261222:1053
I have reloaded everything on the list three or four times but am still missing the following according to the cpm
138423:11002228
55290:1000
2:113556:11104:1
:2915:1
:331129:1
:62215:1
Sorry to be a bother but now I really want to try the route. It loads but when I try to run it it locks up and turns black so I have to have these I guess.
Thanks for your help
bnsf50
February 27th, 2008, 03:12 PM
Concerning the 20' and 40' tags, sounds like they were meant to be part of the description and got some quotation marks inadvertently inserted which made them a new tag. Too fix just hit the X at the end of them in cmp which will remove them which will not hurt a thing. They can be fixed another way too but you would have to open the asset for edit and fix it in the config file, not recommended unless you know what you're doing in there.
The missing assets I cannot help with perhaps some one will be along that recognizes them.
Mr_D
February 27th, 2008, 04:09 PM
Well, I've got a few more. I dl the c40's as well as the 44's . I must be missing something else as I am still missing these two.
2:113556:11104:1
2:113556:331129:1
If you could put a name to those it would help.
Also the horn is still missing and all the gp40-2's have a missing kuid which is a shell I think. They still load however.
Mr_D
February 27th, 2008, 04:14 PM
This is what I am talking about. The error message says that none of them are allowed so I think a bracket may be wrong. This is the 40ft bottom one. There are six or seven all told.

Oh, is that all, that's very good then for this size of route, other much smaller routes I have downloaded off the DLS recently have had between 800 and 1200 dependencies.
I am not using TRS2006 anymore, so I won't bother with the session, but may change the signals as well and see what the spline situation is like particularly around Benin, according to Andy's notes on his website, he's mentioned that fps may be heavy in that area.

http://www.trainzstation.com/Files.html
Forgot to mention that's his bnsf ES44AC. You'll need the name because he doesn't list the items by kuid number. He may have the horn and stuff you need there too. You'll have some cleanup work to do because he uses 04 to build in and consequently there are quite a few errors in the config files. But they are very very nice engines.

Up and running. I fixed the geeps by deleting the shell kuid. The well cars were a bother but got them too, adding a couple of brackets and a "kind".
Finally got all the locos, was missing one not on the recommened list so I guess I should have just d/l all of them to start with. I thought I had done that one just to see what it was but guess not or it didn't take.
I ran last night till my wife threatened me and got the tt to the exit spot. Nice track work and an enjoyable ride. I started with sliders to the left but kept moving them and it ran fine with everything to the right.
I am trying to chart which trains (drivers) are going east and which west to see if I can get a better handle on who needs to go where and I will try it again. Maybe not today as I have to go out of town to see a grandson in a play.
Thanks for all the help I received. I have found this community to be the most helpful of any I have ever been on and I was here before the first program was released and have seen all the frustration and battles.

No problem at all I was glad to help, was in and out of the house yesterday, the reason for the long pause between some of the posts.
The only one I was having a problem with was Cafe in the CSX C40-8 yn2 dirty West bound out of Albuquerque, he didn't like the route he was assigned so I gave him a 20 min wait and sent him via the Belen depot, he likes that route and the 20 min wait lets the east bound traffic get up far enough to take hold of the switch's they need, so they don't get into a Mexican standoff.

If you're referring to the shell as the interior then thats where the problem is. Give me a kuid number of the geep and I will look at mine and see what interior it is suppose to have.

I reload all the gp40-2's and finals and this time I got shells with lots of errors. I corrected all of them except the "generic shell" and I will not try that. Thanks again.
Ran the session and it worked fine. nice route and fun to manage the trains.

...The only one I was having a problem with was Cafe in the CSX C40-8 yn2 dirty West bound out of Albuquerque, he didn't like the route he was assigned ...
Thanks for the comments guys :)
On that Cafe problem the quick fix is: As soon as you get the 'radio' message that he is stuck, throw junction Belen13C to give him a yellow sig and Belen14 to give him a green. I have no idea why he stalls - trains running later in the session with identical instructions find the route without issue, but Cafe will sit all day waiting if you don't throw 13C for him....
One of the things I like about the session is the completely different results you get playing around with 'wait' commands...

I got to run the session twice before I left to visit grandkids and both times I got him moving that way. It seemed as it he headed off to the left instead of the mainline and I never got to finish that one to see if he wound up in the right place. I couldn't figure why the train at the filling station was holding him up. I will try it again when I get back and see what he does. What is the ratio of trains going east versus west over larger time span? Thanks again for a nice layout.

8) Dermmy, how did you add content, that causes so many problems?
Never mind the problems I'm having(all the scenery items, track, textures, crossings, people peeing behind the buildings, so forth, are there)...
Please list any changes you made to rolling stock & content, you used to make the Sessions!
Don't get me wrong, I so love the route, however the trainz listed in the sessions, do not appear.
And, to help you feel better, I use your Kentucky Route, as an alternative!

@ MrD - over the long haul the proportion of trains generated Eastbound: Westbound is about even. A LOT depends though on how often you save/quit/load-saved-session. Every time you load a saved game the portal clocks are re-set to zero, so nothing new is generated for 30 minutes.
@ Backyard - I install all rolling stock into TRS04 and run TrainzObjectz to fix errors before copying the corrected asset into 06. I ignore errors reported by CMP. It is more than possible that content I have installed this way gives problems if installed directly into TRS06. It is no big thing to swap out assets and release a new session if there are any particular items of content giving people grief. Let me know....
Andy :)

8) Thanks Dermmy, for the quick reply!
I note the content changes in TrainzObjects, and acknowledge as such...
Probably, most of the content is held up in CMP, and clearing this, will provide the sessions with the missing items.
I just needed to know your procedure. By editing in TO, you imported corrected content into CMP, and ignore all the errors reported...got it!
It is complicated, but in no way impossible.
Thanks Dermmy!

Just a question for Andy or anybody who knows about railways in US. Does all 2 mainline operation happen in a similar manner as is shown/designed in Clovis sub session..
Is there any website which documents prototypical operations in US.

Have been enjoying session. Had a runaway train cause a derailment and had trouble getting the spare locos running. I will assign them a driver incase that happens again. Where did he come from anyway?
Would like to explore the possibility of adding industries to get some loading and unloading going on if that is not a problem. This will be for my own use and not something to upload.
Dermmy
March 4th, 2008, 04:20 AM
@ Chirag - historically most USA railroads observed right-hand running on double tracks. Modern high-speed operation favours bi-directional on both tracks on some routes.
@ Mr D: Glad you got things sorted out. Whether to have industries or not was discussed among some of the beta group and the consensus was that this is not really a 'drop-a-boxcar' type route. There were ProtoLars industry tracks at all likely spots at one stage during testing. If you wish to resurrect them for your own use go for it!

Downloaded the route and session yesterday along with the rolling stock. No problem with route. Sesion gives one item missing.

There is also a missing hornsound on the BNSF SD40-2 & BNSF SD40-2B.

Please re-download the custom Clovis Billboard from Checkrail.com - click here to do so (http://www.checkrail.com/routes/clovis/Clovis_Billboard.cdp).
I forgot to change the image in the 'night' view, so round about 6.30pm the sign reverts to 'McCall Intermodal', it's previous manifestation for McCall Yard. The new billboard is 'kuid2' so will automatically obsolete the original in TRS04 and TRS06 (and I assume in later versions also).

Thanks for the sign fix Dermmy.
I have a general question concerning AI's and since your route uses a lot of them I thought you or somebody else reading this might have an answer.
When after running the session for several hours, now this doesn't happen early on, and an AI comes to an impasse and needs Assistance I tell the loco to stop so that I can control it. But the AI refuses to give up control. Derail doesn't work at this stage either. It appears that this AI is locked up. I have used one little trick and that is I've grabbed another train close by and used that one to shove the locked up AI/AI's on down to the next exit portal. Or I have to start the session over to get out of it. Do you are anybody else know of a way to free the AI up so that the session can be continued normally.

Sounds like the train in question has 'slid' past a red signal - the give-away is an unchanging speed of 1mph. When this happens it is not possible to issue any commands to the train. I have had this happen a couple of times, always with the SP auto rack train.
AFAIK the only fixes are to 'grab' the train with another loco - as you have done, or switch junctions so that the train faces a dead-end. At the dead end the message 'Emergency braking complete, re-commencing schedule in 10 seconds' comes up and at that stage new orders can be issued to recover the situation.
I will upload a revised session with a shorter auto rack train in a couple of days.

Thanks Dermmy for the quick reply. Please don't worry about the long autorack train, I like long trains and thats not the problem, this situation can and does occur with any of the trains that come to an impasse/Mexican stand off. And it can happen on any route not just yours. It's no fault of yours, I just was wondering if any body knew of fix for it is all. I think it may be a memory issue even though I have 2GB, since it only happens after a long session like more than 2-3 hours. I might mention too that while this is happening the rest of the trains are performing just fine. So it appears that the two trains involved have locked horns so to speak in a heated argument and nobody can break them apart.:hehe: Am still enjoying your route immensely.
Anyway enjoy your camping trip and be safe. Watch out for the wallabies.

T&D is my absolute favourite project, but is a HUGE undertaking. I have created the landscape for a 5 km draw distance so the sea view can be seen from Skylough (one of the truly beautiful scenic features of the real line) but a base 10 km wide is enough ground textures, stone walls and small farms to try the patience of a saint. The T&D is NOT vapourware, but I will be an old, old man before it sees the light of day....

Hi Allen
Easy Answers
113556:62215:1 is Frank's Union Pacific C40-8W, available from TrainzStation here (http://www.trainzstation.com/Files.html). The hornsound is probably packed seperately.
In the first screenie the spartan cab C40 should be followed by a couple of the -8W's (which you don't have) then a long train of covered hoppers - you have the hoppers, they are built in TRS06 content. I assume they don't show because of the missing locos.
Hard Answers
I have no idea why the signal lights don't show. They work in 04 and 06. My only suggestion is that the missing content has glitched the session. Do the lights show in Surveyor, and if so do they behave properly if you drop a piece of rolling stock in front of them?
Much the same answer for the junction problem - do they behave properly in Surveyor?
Andy :)

No apologies necessary :)
Everything you are missing is linked to directly from this page (http://checkrail.com/session_1.htm). Use the notes below in conjunction with the links page to get directly to what you need.
Specifically you are missing...
138423:1100227 and :1100229 are 60' Boxcars RBOX and ATSF from RRMods. 55290:10000 is 60'Boxcar NS from same source;
219472:1876 and 1879 are CSX C40-8W YN2 and YN2 Dirty from USLW;
45324:100037:1 and 100081:1 are BNSF SD40-2 and SD40-2B also from USLW;
113556:71111:1 is KCS SD70 from TrainStation;
45324:50015 is an odd one - it is a Blomberg truck should have come with DLS content, but download any GP40-2 from VMD here (http://www.virtual-motive-division.com/html/us_loco.html) and you should get what you need.
I think that's the lot - post back if anything is still no-show.

EDIT: I obviously got that confused. It was made by NorfolkSouthern37. I still cannot find it, though.
EDIT2: It was part of either the VMD KCS/CSK GP40-2s, or the dependancies. it was just CMP being picky about not showing it.

55290:10000 is the RRMods 60' Boxcar linked to in my previous post. Check and see if you have it in Railyard, it is "60ft Boxcar NS 1". OK er9m, there is a problem.
55290:10000 is the new RRMods NS boxcar.
137823:315 is the old RRMods NS Boxcar.
138423:4000057 is the bogey for either model and you need that!
Both models have the same skin, but the old model is a slightly undersized mesh. I am certain the link given for the rolling stock was the new model when the session was tested, but now it is definitely to the old model, which is all very confusing. I have emailed Joe asking where we can find the 55290:10000 version.
In the meantime a quick fix would be to edit the kuid for the version you have to the kuid the session needs, you will have the wrong model, but at least the session will work. I will post back when I get an answer from RRMods.

Hi Dermmy
Wanted to thank you for a great route and session. The signals work very well, and the trackwork and scenery are very realistic.
I do however have some missing assets that I can't locate.
Hope you can lead me to some of them so my session has it's complete amount of cars.
These are what I'm looking for.
Kuid 138423: 1100227 1100228

Hi Bob
From Trainzstation on this page (http://www.trainzstation.com/Files.html) you need:
UP C40-8 Ex CNW
ATSF C44-9W
UP C40-8W
SP C44-9W
KCS SD70 Ace
NOTE: The horns and enginespec are packed seerately and are located at the head of the left-hand column.
From RRMods on this page (http://www.rrmods.com/60ft.shtml) you need the 60' boxcars for BNSF and RBOX.
That just leaves 55290:10000 which is missing in action. The fix is to download the RRMods NS 60' Boxcar (same page as the link above) which is 137823:315 and edit the KUID to 55290:10000. This is exactly the same model as the missing asset, but on an older mesh. The kuid edit should get the session up and running. If the correct boxcar turns up installing it will simply over-write the modified asset...

Hello young Andy, I'm really looking forward to part 2 of your Clovis Sub route and I noticed that you've added Maddy's excellent new roads to the layout, but, will you be doing the same to part 1, or, will you be leaving it to us to do that ourselves??
Keep up the great work kiddo.

 That kuid 200202 belongs to csx_sd60...so, copy csx_sd6o & paste it into the Download Station search box, click "kuid" or "username" & go...the hornsound you want plus several other items you may want are there.
Kuid2:200202:53710:1 is one of the best enginesounds going...kuid2:200202:53645:1 is another, the one I use. Both are there. You can use these enginesounds for any turbocharged EMD 4, 6 or 8 axle locomotive.

Dermmy,
Ive downloaded the route and session, and I'm using them on TS2009. It looks very nice and runs well with 1 exception on the session. All the AI trains move at 2 mph unless under my control. If I take control I can get them moving at the appropriate speed but, then all I do is keep checking trains as they are speeding up and slowing down due to terrain.
Could you please offer any advice on the AI trains following their schedule ? I understand that this wasn't made for use in TS2009, but Im new to all this and wonder if there is something that I have missed.
Thanks,

hi mog
Oops - I keep forgetting to update the download page for a known TRS2009 issue.
You must remove every instance of the 'AI-Brake' from every consist, including Portal consists. The artificial brake was needful in TRS06, but for some unknown reason is broken in 09.
I will attempt an 09-compliant session shortly.....

So Andy... absolutely stunning work, I have to say; I'm looking foward to any future additions very much!!
I'm new to Trainz so I'm still learning... couple questions though. The drivers will say they are waiting at a specific junction and will not move because of a red signal or an oncoming train. I'm trying to get the train to crossover the double track, but the switches are locked for the oncoming train to use the crossover! How do I switch which train will enter the crossover first? Another situation: there is a train still making it's way up Abo Canyon, but hasn't hit the double track yet - how do I follow another train up the canyon hot on it's heals?
I'm getting a few interesting things with the AI: I had one mexican standoff I had to manage myself, but otherwise its been going fairly well. I have had a lone BNSF SD70Ace enter and run the length of the route from the east, and an empty trailer train enter from the west - I CANNOT control these trains and they're not assigned a driver, but they're driving all right, lol... I can't do anything with them... any thoughts?
I'm wondering if you may be able to lend a had, I would like to modify this session slightly for my own personal use. I'd like to mix up the consists a little more, I ended up having two consists parked in Belen fueling and they were both identical! How could I edit the rolling stock for these trains to switch the cars up with others that look different; is it simple enough to learn?
Can I add a local that would arrive in to Belen, drop some cars and pick some up and then leave? Is that possible with AI?
I'm not familar with the operations on the Clovis Sub, so I don't know much really:) Any help is much appreciated!
Cheers, Brent

This is often the result of saving and shutting down the session when a train is being produced by a portal. The save ruins the train being assigned a driver, and the train will just motor on, oblivious to any interaction from you UNLESS you can catch it and couple on with a engine that has a driver assigned. Then you can can give it commands. It's fun, you ought to try to catch one of these runaways someday!:)

April 16th, 2009, 03:19 AM
Wow Brent - twenty questions !!
As Ed says, i suspect you have saved while a portal is spawning a train which can be catastrophic :( It is hard to avoid with three portals creating at more-or less random intervals. I generally save twice about five minutes apart, if the first save is cactus, chances are the second will be OK.
You can add new trains to the portals or edit the existing trains in Surveyor, simply go to the portal, enter 'Objects' mode and click the portal with the '?' tool active.
Be wary of adding too much content. Repeat content uses less resources than a lot of variety and too much content will at least slow you down or possibly crash your system...
There are instructions on this page (http://checkrail.com/session_1.htm) that show how to get control of a junction from an AI driver.
The only way to follow hard on the heels of a train up the canyon is cancel the AI driver instructions and drive it up yourself - you can re-instate the AI driver later. Adding extra signals in the canyon would allow the AI to follow, but add then in one direction only, else a Mexican stand-off is inevitable. You will find though that the AI is now favoured in the 'more-signals' direction and the other end of the canyon will get congested - which is entirely prototypical. I have read an account somewhere of a hog crew on a busy day spending their entire shift sitting at East Sais waiting for the signal to change while streams of Qs and Zs thundered past in both directions. Their signal never changed - they spent the whole shift staring at the same red light!
Getting the AI to run a local is possible, but tricky. Experiment with a new one-train session, then add the train to the 'main' session when it behaves as required.
Andy :)

Really! Wouldn't a crew swap be required then to avoid the previous crew running out of maximum allowed operating hours? To think I start getting bored after ten minutes in the hole on the Vegreville Sub. :o

Thanks Mouse, glad you are enjoying the route.
JointedRail's Safetran signals are on Clovis2, together with improvements in the signalling on the C1 part of the route. The route now has correct working divergance signals on most crossovers together with new aspects like flashing yellows etc....

But the only correct 2 head automatic signal is built-ins that came with the game. I like JointedRail's signals, but until they can come up with a complete set, they are lacking.

So Andy, I've been playing around...
So far I've gotten the session and the route to work fine in TRS09 except for something being messed up with the draw distances. I can set them at 5000m and the computer will not draw them out; looks to stop at about 2000m. Do you have any idea why it's doing this? I know the computer should be capable of drawing the distance, but it just won't do it! I've noticed that the draw distance will increase if I turn down the scenery detail - is this a sign of a lack of RAM? I have 2 GB...
So I'm now trying to get it working in TRS06. I've cleared ALL dependancies in CMP for the Clovis Sub route and the Belen Dispatcher (2006 version) session. There's still numberous errors associated with the route and session though. I cannot for the life of me get the session working in-game! When I load the session, it will come up with a black screen saying there is problems with the route and asks me if I should proceed... I do and in-game, there are a few plants on the ground that appear white opposed to being colored! Weird, any thoughts?
As for the session, there is NO rolling stock or locomotives loaded into the session anywhere - and I know the assets are installed. It just loads me to ground level out near the eastern exit portals! When I go into map view, there is a big circle on the view screen unlike any other circumstances...
Any ideas on how I can get this working in TRS2006?
Thanks again mate, Brent
Dermmy
April 18th, 2009, 03:35 PM
Hi Brent - I don't have 09, so I have little in the way of practical suggestions on that score.
TRS06 on the other hand should not be a problem, the route was built in 04 but the session was built and tested in 06 and I know it works. Your symptoms sound like missing content, if you know you have everything, delete the file assets.tdx from the 06 root folder. The file will be remade when you start either 06 or CMP. Rebuilding the file can take a while and the sim will look frozen, just let it be. If that doesn't fix it, delete the route and session and re-download being sure to install the route first.
If you are still in strife, post back...
Andy :)

This all sounds ggod fun, but maybe I am missing something. I only have TRS09 installed and I think I have downloaded everything but when I start the TRS09 Session I don't see much at all. I notice there is not an 09 route so I downloaded the TRS04/06 one.

You have the only route and the correct session.. The session should open with about six or seven (I forget) trains on the route, if you are not seeing much I suspect missing content. Double check that you have everything, including all rolling stock dependencies. The session uses several locos from West Coast Trains and there are some small text links on the WCL download page which lead to hornsounds and other dependencies. These small links are easily overlooked...

I suspect the reason you can't open them is because they are RAR files. if so download WinRAR then you can open them and change them to readable CDP files. RAR files look like 3 books bound together when on the desktop.

For folks having TRS06 install problems I have had a few people test the cdp and it seems OK. If it won't install, try re-downloading and instead of double-clicking to execute the download, drag-and-drop the cdp into an open CMP download page...

Absolutely no idea what the first two lines are - I have never seen an error message remotely like it. Which is no help whatsoever, sorry! I would suggest posting in the TRS2009 forum for specific help with those errors.
Are you running in compatibility mode or native? The route is Trainzbuild 2.4, so I would assume TRS09 would need to be in 'Compatibility' mode to run it.
Several assets used in the route throw up 'errors' which cause the route to show a 'faulty dependencies' icon, but absolutely nothing has to be done by the user, every asset used will perform as intended in TRS06 and TRS09 without attempting to 'fix' errors. I have in fact yet to encounter an 'error' which prevents an asset (or route) from working....

Not sure what you mean by 'towards the end' - the session is endless time-wise. If you mean 'near the portals' then head-on collisions near portals should be impossible (OK, nothing is impossible) but anyway one-way traffic is enforced for a significant distance before portals to avoid cornfield meets with spawning trains.
Also the session includes 'Derailed Vehicle Eraser' (or something equivalent) which instantly removes derailments so if something unxpected does happen it does not stop the session...
Andy :)
