View Full Version : long route names????

I notice that some of the routes initially in TRS2006 have long names (like the dresden route), but when I create/save a map/route I make, it'll only give me some 14-15 characters. That's not much when you want to name your map with a decent explanatory name.
Anybody know how to get around this????
Would much appreciate your input on this.

Hi jytte,

Click on edit route in the surveyor menu, top left of screen, then a description of the route and it's functions can be typed in the grey panel. The description will then be shown when the route is selected in the loading screen.

Hope this helps,

I think the "Save As..." command in the drop down menu offers a longer field for the name. Otherwise, it's the "Edit Route" that gives more room. I don't remember which.

The name of the route could also be edited in the maps config file.

The Edit Route command only allows for 15 characters or spaces, while the Save As command allows for 25 characters or spaces.

If that was your name, can you imagine being a kid in school and being told by the teacher as punishment for a little mischef to write your name on the blackboard 100 times?
