If I just save local files out of the trainz folder, is that enough to restore my route in the event of a ctd?

What I do is to go into CMP and save both Route and Session as a CDP to an external Hard Drive . This takes only seconds and the route is as safe as houses.Also copy Content and Local to an EHD.I recently suffered a Fatal Error and everything was up and running again with no work lost.
