i did a uninstall so that i could install service pack one(for 06)
i moved the local file to my second hard drive and did the uninstall
when i tryed to reinstall it made it though the frist of five cd and in the second cd it filed due to some world file or something does anybody now whats going on it says to contact the software company but i ran it on my laptop and my son pc and it ran just fine this pc is way better
please help

It freezes on install on this file c\programfiles\auran\trains2006\world/content02.ja then it says

error catasfrophic failure

First try washing the CD in warm water with a little soap and let it dry. Check the shiny side of the CD for scratches. If you still get the catastrophic error, contact the Auran help desk about a replacement disk.

Another idea, with the DVD, they warned installation will seem to stop at 14%. You aren't clicking on windows etc to see if anything happens? You remembered to turn off antivirus and firewalls?

the cd works fine in the other pc

make sure you have your anti virus disabled before you start installing
