david a few questions
1. what track is that being used?
2. where did you get the intercity sets from?
3. what route is this and will it be released on the dls?
Thanks
Nathan
The track is something I'm working on and is based on concrete sleeper track that I see locall. It's mesh reducing for TRS2006.
The Intercity sets are something I'm working on and you can't get them anywhere yet.
The route is a single baseboard I use to have fun without getting too serious.
It has a portal that spits out a train ever so often and another that eats them once they've had a run around the board.
I don't think I'll be putting it on the DLS.
Cheers

probably the perspective view and my widescreen. It is the length of an I wagon chassis:)
a bit like that I got a widescreen too and sometimes hate it for that
Another QDR Loco hit the tracks tonight sitting on early 1460 bogeys this was Aurans 2100 of the CC cd now weighing in at 19.28 something meters long 3 animated fans detailed vents Your painting it Col once i get a few mistakes out of the way the ones you can only see ingamme

As on VicTrainz, they used the 'short' I wagon chassis, which is about 5ft shorter than the 'standard' I wagon (which appears to be what you've used, and which would have been what the IT that Tom made would have been).

After last night inital test run ...2613 & 2603 ran hard hauling a heavy coal load over a light bridge.......only QDR can pull this sort of thing off the track crews were saying in the pub on friday night that "she be right Mate"...on that carefully gathered imformation the bridge was reopened to heavy traffic.

For anybody else having perspective problems I believe you probanbly have your settings wrong :D
On the opening page for 2004/6 you find options and display settings. This is set to 1680 x 1050 for my wide screen monitor. You should have the same setting here as you find by right clicking an open space on your desk top.
My Vista screen gives me personalize then display settings (An XP machine takes you to display settings directly) Here you will see the settings your monitor is able to reproduce.
On my monitor my top setting 1680 x 1050 is "native" and the setting that AOC reccomend. This matches a setting in the Auran options menu.
If they both are the same, you should not have a perspective problem :hehe:

They are on Ocemy's website:
http://www.ocemy.cn/TRS_contents.htm
Scroll down and you'll see "Tracks & Trackside"
And you can click on either picture to download different styles of tracks, and also turnouts and switchers.
In-game the tracks are in the track section as "CHN (Track name)"
and turnouts are in the Objects section (the house icon), and can be found if you search "CHN (Turnout name)"
Bracketed words are nothing so just type CHN when your searching for the items.
I love Ocemy's locos, track and turnouts! his really skilled.

In this day and age, you never know what could happen on the Australian rail scene. The amount of changes that have occurred in the last 10-15 years is phenominal.
Gunneese and Wyoming(Spelling) are here, although it's ARG but the livery is the same (Orange with dual horizontal black stripes). Some locos in South Australia stilll have the GWR badge and not the ARG one. You wouldn't think UP would start in Australia but stranger things can happen in the current climate.

Hey Dreddy,
Can I make a suggestion? I was watching a DVD on the Great South Pacific Express (lovelly train, would love to see a Trainz version, but thats not what I am going to suggest), and I heard a 1720 class horn, which was very similar to the VR B class hornsound. Perhaps this could be incorporated in your 1720 class models?
I tried to change it myself, but it just messed up the running numbers...
Just a suggestion,
Thanks!

hi chuff buff
when will you relesae these?
any chance of putting a veranda light in?
very nice queenslander

ron
Thanks Ron, exterior lighting for the front & rear porch isn't a bad idea. I will have a look into this in the coming days. Initially, I started on two Oz Colonials prior to X-mas time last year, the bare meshes sat on my hard drive for some time as I became side tracked with other matters.
I have quite a hand full of Oz Colonials on the to do list .......... unsure how long it will take as there is no set date. Hopefully, the first set of four in four colour varients I shall release as Beta's to QDR in the coming weeks. You'll hear more about it then!
a good old rusty red roof would be nice too
cheers,
patchy
Worn down redundant Colonials are surely on the cards patchy, they would definately play the part for those heavily overgrown rural scenes.

Mitchey what were you doing up at Stanthorpe ?
Stanthorpe? No, this was south of Bundaberg. I thought it would be pointless going to Stanthorpe, as the track was under 6 metres of snow and ice.

can somebody tell me how to get rid of the serrated edges in the last picture please
i never had them in tc
also in pic 3 i have the signals qr7
they only go green and yellow
are there any of the 3 colours that i can use?
thanks
ron
Nice pics Ron. A little advice to make them better. If you press F5 it gets rid of the menus. You can take your pic then restore the menus by pressing F5 again. This is only a guess but the serated edges you are referring to on the Railmotor? May have something to do with the distance from the object when you take the shot. Someone more knowledgeable than I can help there. QR 7 is actually a repeat or distant signal, that's why it is Y/G. Try QR 4 or 5. I think they are what you want. You'll find one is a four aspect and the other a three, can't remember which is which at the moment

Hi Taggy,
This station platform; does it come with the rear embankment, or is this your clever placement & groundwork??
It certainly looks great. :)
Is this platform & station building available on the DLS or anywhere as yet?
And is it available for TRS2004??

Hi Noel,
That station is actually built into TRS2006, and does include the grassy slope along the back of the station. In TRS2004, there are stations called 'Station A4" and "Station A6", if I can remember correctly... WELL! In TRS2006, the stations were redone, and new ones were added to the set, Station A2, A4, A6 and A7, once again, if I can remember correctly...
The station featured is Station A2.
Cheers!

The platform is already part of the game however I run 2006 so I'm not sure about 2004. Not my creation (no good in that department!) but it comes as seen in the shot.

Cheers guys, you are very kind. I've had a lot of inspiration from the you experienced trainzers! I have finished the track laying and am half way through the placing of objects, textures and scenery. There are 5 stations
starting with:
Clarendon (Museum Home)
Red Plain Siding
Gum Tree Flat
Slacky Flats
Bluetongue Creek (Current end of line)
I hit a block in the imaginary department so I used the base model of Jacarander Flats (Slacky Flats) as part of my route. (Thanks to its creators for a fantastic module)

Bill - wow! the platform view of Laidley station makes me even more grateful that you will release it as a single platform unit. Thank you.
Thank you also for the walk overs - they are so realistic.
While I'm here - there's something else that's been intriguing me for a while:
there isn't a texture of the right ground colour for us Aussies to lay track on.
For several weeks I've looked at screenies and it seems no one has found the right texture - a finely textured dirt colour that would look good as the track path for main and branch lines in Australia.
Am I right ?
I've been using the FMA banks and track bed in some places - but they don't have a texture to compliment the track bed colour, which is also a pity.
Love your screenies everyone. Some wonderful work being done.
All the best.

Here a few i took on a 1 tile module i whiped up in about an hour last night.
Sort of based on the Hunter coal lines.
3805 on a North-bound Express races through Little River, while the local train CPH 25 picks up passengers.
http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq280/ekni123/1.jpg
3805 passes 5270 on a loaded South-bound coal train over Little River.
http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq280/ekni123/2.jpg
5270 on a coalie pases CPH 25 just outside Little River headed south.
http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq280/ekni123/3.jpg
Later that evening CPH 7 pulls into an empty Little River Station.
http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/qq280/ekni123/4.jpg
CPH 7 crosses Little river while 5270 is returning on a empty North-bound coalie waits at a red signal.

More from Little River, now in the SRA period.
The local train HPC402 pulls in to Little Creek, while the now Diesel hauled express races through lead by 44222 and 8195.

48100, 4834 and 48144 still crawling are passed by short goods headed south-bound hauled by 4826. Little River shows the effects of the drought which start a few years earlier.

A Loaded PacNat coal heads south lead by 9004 and 9016 pases the Local passenger 629/729.

The Express has now become an Explorer with engine units 2501 and 2523, and a empty FreightCorp. Coal train rounding the station lead by 8128(PacNat), 4820 and 8183.

Davido, apart from all the great content you're producing I think you've also got the nack of route building. Even allowing for the fact that it may only be for displaying purposes, I still think it looks like a nice route.

Col,
There's not much more to show really. It's only 1 baseboard with a double track circuit and a few branches, a couple of awfully tight curves and an ugly tunnel.
Here's a birdseye view of it but it doesn't show much detail I suppose.

Fantastic crossing mate, I have placed two in my route already. I think you have done a really great job on making them more life like in the sense that they only ring when the train is approaching and the boom gates lift slower. You even have the little hole in the side of the lights where the light can be seen shining through!

It is a PTW there were only 5 ever made. The tank belonged to the private company and the chassis to NSWGR. It is a pneumatic discharge hopper used to cary crushed limestone to cement factories.
Have never been able to find a plan for them, I used several photos which showed them as part of a consist to glean info on height. so it is all guesstimation for the dual tanks and as there is no photo available for the undercar discharge set up, i used a bit of poetic licence:hehe:

Hmmm... lol
It aint an S ;)
I've been spending some spare time repainting the Jointed Rail F7-A into VR and V/Line for their competition for a bit of fun...
The number, S318, is outside the S class number range (but also unused by other period diesels). Basically it's meant as a what if... What if the VR (or V/Line) had purchased a second hand EMD F7 from the US for use on the SG, either after Violet Town, or during a major loco shortage (wheat season maybe?).

What if the VR (or V/Line) had purchased a second hand EMD F7 from the US for use on the SG, either after Violet Town, or during a major loco shortage (wheat season maybe?).
Zec
LOL...well whatever it is, it looks good. Maybe it's just the fact that it's a diesel :p

Guys
I can only take credit for the blue and gold repaint and the V/Line repaint... As in, anything that is VR blue or VR gold or V/Line orange or V/Line grey is reskinned by me... Everything else was done by the guys at JointedRail.

You may want to stop requesting things, that's not the way things work around here. First you check it's not built-in to your version, then you search the DLS, then if you still can't find it you put up a request (eg. Does anyone know where I can find a BB18 please?)

Craig, The engine shed is built in to 2006 under something like Loco shed or Engine shed.
The white buildings are also built in to all, There something like "Building yard office" or similar.

Thanks Axe, while I am building a layout in 2004, it will eventually end up in 2009 (I think :hehe: ). Looks like another blank spot with a marker to add 2006 (and upwards) built-in content.
