1783D never existed though, 1720-1775 and 1700-1710.;)
The beauty of changeable running numbers and destonation boards you can be any number and be going any where you want latest versions of 1460 and 1700/20 were uploaded to QDR last night although I just found a texture error on the right hand side of the 1700/20's I will fix today if I get time supposed to wash the car as going on a cruise up the Nth Coast tomorrow But then who in their right mind would wash a car in the rain?

1460, Elephant ears. Not sure how many were like this, I do know that 1500-1501 received the dynamic brakes, I'm thinking some of the late 1490s had them as well, 1498-1499, not sure.

What if Swanbank Railway lovingly restored a 1502 to operational status. The livery would most likely match the one that adorns the English Electric 1616.

Looks like there's problems with the 1460s in TRS2009. They work faultlessly in 06 after I edit them in CCP. No errors show up in 06, but as soon as I copy them over to 09, those errors that I fixed in 06 seemed to comeback for some reason.
Got me stumped, anyhow, they will only work in 04 and 06. They show up in 09, but the scripted numbering seems to be broken and there are other problems that I can't work out.
Looks like 04 might be out of the question too. I'm probably forgetting something, but the bogeys aren't showing up. I do have Pikka's payware 1460s installed into 04 so I thought the bogeys from them would automatically show up under my reskins.
At least they work fine in 06 I guess.

2100s during the 80s and upto late 90s, carried the "A" suffix. Before they started receiving the "D", "F", "H", some Bronco liveried unmodified Clydes also had an "S" suffix, eg 2137 S.
I have painted this 90 tonne Clyde into the early QR Blue and White, they never had this livery as it was phased out by the time 2100 was released in 1970. 2100H is still around today, QR's oldest mainliner.
I will also work on the more traditional blue worn by the 2100s and other 90 tonners as well.
This is the 2100 in the early QR livery and is also heavily weathered. This locomotive has the "A" suffix, I've also put more detail into the short hood (AC unit). The Auran 2100 class is the un-modified low nose 90 tonner, so adding the old style AC unit is actually very prototypical of the class.

Col
Did we not make new bogies for the 49 Class? These were Clyde 3 axle bogies similar to the ones used by QR?
Maybe we could ask Peter and Jerka to alter them a little, and make them dual gauge" (Zec has a script that substitutes between BG and SG, it would work between NG and SG as well)
The mesh is in the VicTrainz storage area if interested in having a go.
I can see the sand box should be on the bogies . I dont know if the mesh is in the resourses pack and if it would be worth while altering it :(

That is exactly what it was missing Col. Spot on! The reason why all our locos are so filthy these days is they no longer get washed. The wash at Normanby doesn't handle locos. Only the electrics and the mail cars. The ramp we used to do it on is now the Eastern Stabling Yard at Mayne. It went when the diesel shed, and all around it, was demolished to make the ESY.

I suspect that zecs script involves two bogies one broad and one standard
S301
May 24th, 2009, 11:18 PM
It's just another feature of the AJS superscript. It uses sub-meshes in the bogies to swap the wheels and 'frame' around. The 'wheels' basically means anything animated, and frames is a mesh for things that aren't animated but still need to change (e.g. brake shoes). You still need a 'base' mesh with the actual animation (and at least 1 triangle) for it all to work.
I'm hoping to use a coming release as a 'demonstrator' for the way I set things up :)

Hi Pete, I'm Googling for 1400 pics and your right, very difficult to find any that clearly show the bogeys.
What you could do is, download the NZ DA class by Greg Baker and maybe have a look at those bogeys. The DA uses A1A-A1A as do most NZ locos. More info here....

I'm having problems with the Golden Holden in TRS2009. It does show up along with the rest of the 1460s. By and large they all work.
The Golden Holden has a problem with the numbers in that they show up as textured planes. Just getting blocks where the numbers should be.
I might just try and texture the 1461 numbers on since it was the only member of its class to receive the gold livery. Running numbers aren't really necessary on 1461.

Got all the 1460s working in 09, a picture doesn't tell a lie.:p
All three of them work properly in 09, but for some reason 09 CMP still goes looking for the blue paint job for 1461 even though it isn't present in the original Golden Holden files. This doesn't stop it from showing and the red 1461 numbers showing.
I hope that is a small problem that the DLS will ignore, I will upload them in the next few days. Along with the 2100 class.

Those are the animated bogeys by Psycho_Aussie, whenever I reskin a 2100, they are the bogeys I always use. Psycho's cabview and Jacob Cash's hornsounds are also used.

Sorry this is a bit late but I'm having computer problems at the moment. I wouldn't worry too much about that look Dredd, there's actually an aweful lot of them running around that look like that. BTW Col just in case you were unaware (but I'm pretty sure you would be) the "A" suffix on the locos was to signify a weight reduction of some kind. How that was achieved I'm not sure but someone will tell me. The "H" was for a cut down fuel tank for locos on certain lines. That I'm sure of. If anyone says anything about the cleaner bogies, tell 'em they've just been into the shops for brake refits and wheel guaging. Thgey always paint them after something like that.:hehe:

Hi Pete, I did receive the 1400s I will try and do something with it. I really need help with doing textures for locos from the ground up. I'm fine with reskinning, but when it comes to making textures, I really struggle with that.

Hi col, no I'm talking about the 1450 bogies for the reskins you did> Are they NG or SG? I'm in the middle of doing an NG version and if you want it dirty can you send me the tga for the dirty texture under your locos maybe that should read 2100 class bogies

I'm working on a DOO version of the 1550/2100/2400, in both long and short nose, so I can look at dirtying up the bogey.

The guard's van is Greg Cash's BLV car, it's not quite a TGV but the photos I used on it are from the latter. I have got Greg's permission to upload but I may reskin one of his longer BLVs without the guards compartment.
The QLX's, I found some photos of maroon coloured ones on the net like this one.
http://www.wuiskepromotions.com.au/prototype/freight/qlx/qlxh_34335_04_20061028.jpg
I did mine to match Greg's passenger cars. The graffiti'd one is done using a photograph I took a few years ago.
The Auran QLX's weren't really made with industries in mind, there's no visible loading/unloading of them in game if they were upgraded to industry status in later versions of TRS. With that in mind, I may not worry about making them industry compatable. They will still look good in a consist.

One of the more difficult shapes to get right is the QR shield. I think the hardest thing is the wings when they wrap around from front to side. Then the small curvy parts at the end of the wing. Tricky things to do.

Kidoug, those screenshots are light years ahead of anything I've made recently (or ever). Bloody good effort mate. You can tell you're from overseas, as the NR Class feature heavily on your rails - most Aussie trainzers are sick of seeing the damned things in real life, so we don't bother with them in a simulator (although, they are one of the better models out there).
You see (and you probably have from photos), NR Class haul the majority share of the interstate freight, and are probably the most common locomotives in Australia (especially NSW, where you route seems to be based), with 120 being built.
Please keep posting the screenshots, they are an inspiration!

You've only got to go down to Acacia Ridge if you want to see NRs. You're in Redcliffe, if you can get a bus to maybe Shorncliffe then train to Coopers Plains, you walk down Boundary Road. There is a bridge that goes over the tracks at Acacia Ridge, you can walk down the stairs and around to the cul-de-sac.
Always some standard gauge activity down there, lot of shunting.

Very nice Davido, These V Sets look great, Are they going to be a released freeware version, payware or private stash material?(Need too bribe wife with C/Card and let her go shopping so I can buy a few items of Payware sometime soon hehe) I am rather interested as I am building a DEM (thanks Seeseeme and Jerker) version of the Illawarra Line and they sure would look rather nice running along the line once I am done.
But all the V sets you have posted look excellent. Always enjoyed a run in them from Wollongong too Sydney, I am in Adelaide nowdays and the diesel trains here just don't cut it.

Righto, how many Tasmanians are amongst us. The first couple of locos that I intend to do in Tasrail livery. I'm going to try and fix a glaring defficiency in the TRS loco and rollingstock as far as Tasmania goes.
Now, I can only make do with what's available but I think they have come out really well. I've reskinned the QR 2100 into a D class, D 2020 and D 2021. These locos were Ex-WA and were sent to NZ enroute to Tasmania for modifications.
http://www.railtasmania.com/loco/loco.php?id=d
The ones I created for TRS....
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e299/Colhad/TRS2006%20Screenies/Repaints/D2020-D2021d.jpg
Tasrail also acquired ex QR 1502/1460 class locos. Extensive modifications were carried out in New Zealand before heading to the Apple Isle. They did receive a lowered short hood nose for better visibility.
http://www.railtasmania.com/loco/loco.php?id=dq
My version of the DQ class, only one available is Pikka's 1502 but turned out alright.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e299/Colhad/TRS2006%20Screenies/Repaints/TasrailDQ2004a.jpg
Now some scenery shots, the route is Marooma. I think Flathog is the creator of that one. Looks just right for a Tasmanian setting I think.

Hi folks
More Tasrail, Pacific National Tasmania as well.
Firstly I've had this backed up on a disc for a while. I did up an 830 like the old ZC class locos in Tasmania. ZC class are ex-QR 1300 class locos that were sent south in the late 80s.
http://www.railtasmania.com/photogal/showimage.php?id=313
My version, I've actally kept it as 830 class.

Sorry this is late guys but I have had a bit of catching up to do lately. Col, looked in the bible of rollingstock and the closest wagon I can come up with is a "HO" wagon. Eight-wheeled Open Goods Wagon, Steel Construction, Roller Bearings, suitable for Express Freight and Goods trains. Composite steel and hardwood flooring, four sets of swing doors, 3200 opening.
Hope this helped

Are there any (NSW) wagons suited for the transporting of limestone/cement products? I know there are Peters cement hoppers on the DLS, but these were pre-loadable products, so are just wagons.
I know that on the main south we have recoded coal hoppers for the transport of limestone between Medway and Berrima/Maldon cement works (NPZH/NPJH/NPFH (http://www.flickr.com/photos/raichase/3580912646/) Hoppers). There are also converted coal/grain hoppers used for the limestone merchant that have their sidings at Medway Junction (NPPF type (http://www.flickr.com/photos/raichase/3128301466/in/set-72157601801400867/), iirc)
RHEH (http://www.flickr.com/photos/raichase/3580906660/) (ex National Rail coal hoppers) are used to transport limestone from Medway to Port Kembla.
From the quarry at Dunmore (near Shellharbour on the South Coast), stone (not limestone, but rock from the quarry) is transported by RHGF (photo 1 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/raichase/3580892238/), photo 2 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/raichase/3580897386/) (ex BHP coal hoppers) and NPZH hoppers.
I'm just curious if any of these are avaliable for download at all?
Cheers!

Mine ;) :)
They're for 04+, but they work best in TC3/09 (passengers fit inside the body, and the normals maps work best in 09 :) ).
As to the A2. I'm still trying to sort out an error with the mesh when I export it (some weird welding going on, that may or may not be related to poly count). And once that's sorted, I'll move to the tender. Then it's all up to you to finish that sound pack, and the Espec :) ;) Oh yes, and I'm hoping to make a new 5 chime sound, based off a recording I took at Healesville of a K class 5 chime (mounted on a steam roller of course :) ).

jpereira......I agree and as the creator should be taken out the back and flogged .............but do you realise how hard it is to model texture and get it all ingame ....and if anyone has some photorealistic scripted with lots of goodies QR I will pay money for them and save me hours and hours creating models for free that no one else has done for trainz .......:o

My message is an opinion only.
Major times, to participate in this forum is like to in bar talking with friends with an XXXX beer in a glass ... and, as we say in Portugal, the conversation goes on as cherrys (they usually are attached to each others like words, or if you prefer, like rolling stock!).

Thought I'd throw the DOO versions along side their normal cousins, in both Diesel Blue 1550/2100/2400, Bronco 2100, and QRN 2100 ("hiding" in the background...)
It's Acacia Ridge from Norm's Brisbane South map.

A trick with the 2100s, when you type in the roadnumber press space. That will centre it. They look great though Chris, can't wait till they are released.

DFZ's are ex 2300s, and DD class are ex 2100 class. The basic design of the QR Clyde/GMs was shared betwen 2100s, 1550/2400 and later on 2300s and 2250s.

1225 Anyone??
This is Dreddy's mesh so thanks to you Dred for allowing me to reskin and show screenies.
Just trying to give Dreddy a hand. I've added some side panels, changed the colours slightly. I used the running numbers out of the Paintshed 2100 and a bit of weathering.

 Hello All
Now in the QR content yard they are Great Steam Locomotives Thanks To the works of Dreddman, Greg Cash, Hurly & Myself. Creating stunning models Like C17's, DD17's, BB181/4, Beyer Garrats, ASG & PB15's. But they're a lot of classes missing Like C16's, D17's, D16's, C18's, B15's, B15 Converted, B17's & C19's. I am putting this concern out there because there are a lot of common classes of QR steam locomotives for trainz but the lesser know classes are forgotten!!
So I Have Endeavored To Create Some Of The "lost" Steam Locomotives
I had a thought about creating a Revised Version of A 1924 QR D17 Or Nicknamed "Black Tanks" Like Railco's D17 Capella, I Have Already Made The Skins But Need Assistance For The Mesh & All A D17 Is Basically is A C17 with 2-4-2 wheel arrangement, side tanks & extra sanding dome.
Then I Tried To Create A C16 Which Turned Out Not As I Expected. So I Have Remade A Skin For QR C16 106 and I Wish To Have A Helpful Gmax Master To Create A Mesh. A C16 Is A lengthened PB15 with a 4-8-0 wheel set & with a Original C17 Cab.
Help With These Models Would Be Greatly Appreciated.:D
Lastly I Am Currently Creating A Web Site For My Downloads & A Place For All QR Steam, Diesal Lover & Trainz Veteran.
 Love All The Queensland Screens & Models And keep Up The Great Work Everyone!!! ( Especially Dreddman's Steamfest 09)
See You All Soon

David, the DOO isn't on the DLS at the moment. I am currently working on them, and when I am finished, I will upload them to the DLS. As Col said, the DD is a modified version of the 2100, whereas the DFZ is the 2300. The DD is a loco I am also working on, albeit slowly, as I need to make some major modifications to the body to allow for the short walkway and steps behind the cab on the left hand side of the long hood.
Col, I can also simply move the running number plates to center them properly. I'll take a closer look at their positioning and fiddle with them a bit. Are the bogeys under the 1550 dirty enough for you?

A C16 Is A lengthened PB15 with a 4-6-0 wheel set & with a Original C17 Cab.
Isn't a C16 a 4-8-0, as the C meant it had 8 driving wheels, just like on a C17?
psycho_aussie
June 5th, 2009, 07:50 AM
A C16 is indeed a 4-8-0 locomotive, and had little in common with the PB15. The C16's, however, were what became the C17 class, hence the reason why the C17 cab is similar, if not the same as the C16 cab.

I've done my best with those. A DD class is available on the DLS but I can add the DD suffix to the cabs. I actually did the loco before the real ones came to be.
Also not 100% accurate but close enough will have to do. AC or AD as they are now.

They look great Dred, all I did was an eye dropper on a photograph of a 1200 class. The blue can be a difficult thing to get right as you have to take into consideration the light and also the age of the photo.
If you take a look at all the QR locos done for Trainz, they're all diffrerent shades of Blue, who's to say who's the most correct.

Good start Pete
However, it is way too long. The side windows need to be square (resizing till they are square should bring it about right overall). And the engine looks to be too long as well. From memory, these were built on the 'short' I/IA wagon chassis (I'll need to check that one).
I really need to dig my one out again and finish it off. Never was able to make the engine to my liking :( Mind you, at the time, I didn't have any photos of it... :)

@Comtrain....Still a long way from animated points mate.
I dare say making a set of animated points would be simple enough but it's all the variants that come after. Left turn, right turn, long radius, short radius, y's etc. Then there's all the different tracks, rusty, oily, concrete sleepers, timber sleepers, different ballasts .....nup, keep your eye on the rollingstock and you won't notice the junctions :D:hehe:
Those frogs etc. do dress them up a bit...I might have a look at them.
