True, but its been over a month since a release of Good NSW Content. It's like NSW has gone to sleep (No offence Pete, Nathan and David)

Yes, you're right. There isn't enough *good* NSW content out there. Nevermind all the hard work that the CWS guys have done, not to mention ad602000, and all the other blokes (and perhaps blokettes) who have put their blood sweat and tears into all those models you've downloaded (and I'm sure, not bothered to thank anyone for).

The problem is, you want it all, and you want it now. Learn some patience, it's not bloody hard. Why don't YOU go out and make us the 45 class, and a set of 620 railcars. I'll take a DEB Set too. I challenge you to come to within even 10% of the quality that some of our NSW creators can do.

That's what's wrong with todays generation - they are so selfish.

People like this annoy the hell out of me, sorry guys.

Hi everyone,

Please I am not complaining/wanting to stir anyone or anything.
This is a simple question (I'm just curious):-
What/which projects can people list as having died, or not come to fruition?.
My own long-term project with Craig may seem to be in this category,
as perhaps some others too.
However it (like those "some others too") is far from dead.
Anyone who has had any involvement with medium to large projects
(layouts/items/whatever), can attest to the enormous amount of time & effort
to get to the stage of releasing something on the DLS/wherever.

So please, just out of curiosity, what has died?. :o

Hi Lesley & other forumzers,

You are right. This forum is for Australian screenshots.

So getting back on track, may i just say how thankful I am,
that we have these forums.
And especially this one (& others similar) that is a long-term thread,
visited & enjoyed by many.

Thank you to all the people who contribute here, both in your work
(no matter what skill-level) & comment.
It is a privilege to be able to see all this amazing content & variety of work going on.
A huge 'thank you' (No I musn't shout!) especially to all those who do such amazing works of art,
& share it so generously, then patiently attend to all sorts of comment.

BTW I suspect there is a Tangara or two, under development at present.

Zec, I've got to say that the K looks very awesome. Pitty that the steam doesn't have the right brightness for the time of day (ie, at night its highly visible ((i'm assuming your using the same twinkles effects as lielestosbrat?)))

Its nice to see new pics everyday to show what people are doing.. nice work everybody.

A full 'W' car set (58ft AW, BW, ABW, plus 2 types of CW guards van) should be released in the coming weeks, plus the K class steam loco. I'm yet to make the 64ft AW, BW, and ABW cars though.

There is a setting for Trainz in Configure Trainz, Advanced options (for TRS04, or Options, Advanced Options (for TRS06/TC) called Shadows. Selecting that option will allow Trainz to render the shadows.

I got to agree with others, Connxy has done some fantastic work on that route, and it looks like it'll be a real pleasure to drive, when it's all done and dusted. On a side track, I'd like to commend maglevsx for that route he's got the AN's on (even though they really shouldn't have too much trouble climbing that grade :)). Great work by everyone, and good to see quality content being produced.

Hi Tom or anyone,

I have been trying to find in my collection of Trackside content an item that is in the above image. Its the "control line" (whatever) that is running next to the track above. I know I have it but can not find it as I do not know the correct name or the name the creator has used. Maybe a kuid number will help me more :hehe:

Also, I would like to know what the "control line" is exactly used for, I have always thought it is for the changing of points at a junction but I am not too sure. If it is for changing of points how would it be used in a large yard, would it go from a Junction/Signal box to some point in the yard and then maybe under the tracks from there??? I am just not that sure of its exact use.

@ Conny, love your work on the Railway station and the surrounding built-up area. Looks great with so many buildings there plus the textures and trees.

@ MAGLEVSX, love the loco, looks great. Congratulations. How long to the DLS (when its working) :hehe:

As I do not post to often in this thread (but I look at it all the time), I thought I would also add a general congratulations to the many screenshots I have seen of various layouts and content. Excellent work and some great ideas.

They are my cars and the screenshots should not have been released (fine to reskin for your own private use but not for public display), but I'll let it slide for now as they are appropriate for the loco.

Note for future reskinners - if you want to display screenshots of my content reskinned, please email me first. I'm normally reasonable about such requests and if I refuse I always provide a reason.

Seeseeme the point rods may go from a signal box to a point or a lever frame to a point.

Statement about Melbourne Trams

I have started doing Melbourne trams in partnership with many people but lack of interest always kills the project. I have no real interest in doing them as a solo project.

At diffrent stages I have done both SW2 and W2 trams, the meshes that I hold are as I see it are community property and copies can go to anybody who wants to work on the project. I also have a lot of plans/line drawings/blue prints of many Melbourne trams.

Paul (barn700) has a great Z1 and Z3 as paywear and they are rather cheap for what you get. He is also working on the city circle tram - I know as I have supplied the skins :)

There is a South Aussie H class tram also floating around once again a community mesh and I have sort pushed this project over to Electro.

Yep! It's Kingsgrove with the inclusion of Revesby now being the main terminus on the line rather than East Hills. I took the shot at show a low angle and with quite a close up because the building lacks a ceiling and roof at the moment.

Need to fix the times though, it'll make it look more realistic as well as the lighting.

regrets the 42 reskin is next best thing but the 421 does differ from the design of the 42 class.

I remember Vet kept telling me I had three trojans. Even told me where they were. But it did not do anything to them. So I went in and deleted them time and time again, and every time I rebooted the machine, Vet would find them again. I finally had to delete all my recovery points, run Vet again, and this time it reported they were deleted. As I had not run recovery, I have no idea why that would cause the problem ??
And why did Vet not delete the copies of the trojan in the recovery file, anyway. Beats me. However I now read the instructions and follow them exactly, and Vet seems to be behaving itself at last :(

Having gotten the necessary info from Anthony via MSN about the virus etc...

It has been found that the virus which is, downloader.agent, has modified the files within the Operating System files, this means that if the file, download.agent and any associated files are deleted the Operating System installed on the computer will no longer function, a complete computer wipe, and re-install of operating system is required because of this.

Can I make a suggestion for most of the new Vic content? Try making the interior textures alot darker. If you look at photos the interior, even with lights on (except at night of course), is alot darker than the exterior.

Construct a simple box the size of your coach body interior and texture it black with 30% - 50% opacity. That will darken your interior.

Looking at the pictures of the N class beta's the model itself looks superb!

i do think that the VLP red and blue are too bright, plus the colours dont seem to be a gloss not matt.. the V/ grey & orange reminds me of the B class colour wise.

Also, with the BS cars.. is there going to be a VR livery aswell as the more well known V/ orange with the white & green stripes along the side? hehe just that these are my 2 favorite liveries..

And also, is anyone able to work their magic to make some D vans aswell?

I'm sure you are aware of what i've mentioned re. the colours of the VLP loco... i personally think the Loco and the BS carriage colours in the VLP
livery are way too bright, and somewhat 'candy' like.. ;) just being honest!

VR version is done, but is more representative of them as used on the SOP than in regular use. V/Line 'standard'. Don't know if Pete is doing/has done this. The project is on hold for the time being however, well last was said anyway.

All of what you have said is being fixed. They are just beta's (Both 1st Version). As for the D Vans, I was planning on one, until I did some research and found out that Pete had already made one (But only one from the VR Days when they were coded for the SOP).

As I said before, I/We found 15+ Errors with the N. :D

Actually those cars represent the old 'teacup/Vline' livery. There is also a version with the silver roof (this has V/Line logo as well IIRC).

I think Pete 'stuffed up' on the Orange and Grey livered Cars. He made it a mixture of Teacup and V/Line (Which there never was). To make it correct, there is no stripe through the windows but there is a stripe, below the windows (A thick White Stripe with a thin green stripe underneath).

Cheers,
Tom :)

I'm sure I've seen a photo of a mixed livery similar to that. May have been another similar type car (N, or S car). The one in the screens are BZ cars by the way :)

Well, found the pic :P

BS car in V/Line with teacup stripes

I would hazard a guess that a BZ may have ended up in this scheme too.

Just curious, have seen some screenies of an Indian Red 49 class around, is this available for download?

@Zec, Maybe it was during the Transition? Might have to put in a request for the other V/Line then. The V/Line version that Pete did make is still wrong in the fact that its meant to have a Orange roof.

@Raichase, That would be Pete's that he 'apparently' forgot to release ;)

Raichase, are you part of the Victrainz Group? We don't just make VIC Content you know! Pete's (ad602000) has made a lot of NSW content (as you probably already now) (49's and 46's come to mind).
