the era i have selected for my Ipswich map is 1966-76, so the walkway would be a little out of place, someone already asked me about the walkway and i said maybe if i do a modern era i may add it or if someone else does the modern era they can add it. i am just happy that ben and yourself have made those bridges which made a difficult area so much easier.

I've downloaded the route but those 2 items you have reported as not being on the DLS are not listed as missing in CMP  ( only 17 broken dependencies). I also checked on the TPR site and Craig has advised they are not there anyway (http://www.trainzproroutes.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=48639#48639) (http://www.trainzproroutes.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=48639#48639)

Patchy, In this screen shot it looks like you have 2 track/point levers there on the right, but they are "white" is this right? I have never seen these ones so I am not to sure.

You route looks great BTW.

Craig
:):):)

We have white ones here in Queensland. I think there are three types, reversible, non-reversible and kangaroo points levers with a large round weight offset to the actual lever. Does any one know where I can get them for my routes? Also does anyone have a qr railmotor, pleeeeeeease?!

not sure about 04 been a while since i have been inside o4 but in 2006 the white throw over lever is in the trackside tab and list under levers as i am using it on my forthcoming Ipswich line.

hope that helps.

GOOD QUESTION!...........I only have the wheels and windscreen and some texture issues to do I reckon But, Having recently getting a scenior position at work and some courses to do :( Gmax Time is a issue and it has got to wait its turn in the production line. As for the DD17 its not mine to release the mesh origionly belonged to "Boobless_ed" I just set it yp in trainz for him He has a more refined version these days in Max. But there is light at the end of the tunnell he said He would send me the updated mesh to export and release when he goes overseas soon ...on another note I can say the screens of Willim2's Ipswich workshops do not do it justice.. :udrool: ..He was over my place Sunday for a BBQ and Gmax mixed with Beerware!! So I got to have a good look at the Layout and all the Buildings that he has created........This will be a RIP.SNORTER QR Layout when done...and while Chuffbuffs PC is playing up I have exported his nice T2300 Wooden wagon Question apart from ballast what other loads do they carry ? anyone got any ideas?
I'll get a screen of it later tonight and will post it
INTERESTING EVENTS!?!
For those who can remember this far back? I once I said I would recreate the Brisbane valley Line ..Blah Blah..Well yes Jerker kindly supplied the Dem ..and I put some stations on the Dls layed a bit of track and timed it but nothing ever came of it well I did put it on the backburner as I was too involved teaching myself Gmax ..Well during my gmax travels I pretty much have all the inferstructure set up to create it Mulie has offered to texture it which means it will be in 06 format which is a delimer for me as I mainly use good ol04 but recently have been useing more of CMP But on with the INTERESTING EVENTS
I recieved this email from some unknown a trainzers dream

Dear Sir, do you intend to make a simulation of the whole line or just around Esk area? my reason for asking is, I worked on the railways for 38 years, and was on a weedspray truck for a fair amount of that time, we had to spray the line after it closed to rail traffic while the big nobs decided what they were going to do, and as such , on our last spray trip I took along my vhs camera and filmed 99% of the track from Wulkaraka to Yarraman, this I transferred to disc, the quality is not 100% but if you would like a copy to help you out let me know.

"Ofcourse I said NO!?!"............Guess what I got :p
2 disks .................................................. .............
Strangest thing of course I said "Yes Please" and asked if he was a trainzer or how he found me ? found my website but no return address or nothing I at least wanted to send you a scratchie or something.............from the unknowen THANKS PETER!!

Nice Mill Patchy:Y:

Well done.

Thats true!
Patchy do you know if anybody has converted the sugar bins to be loadable yet?
I have a sugar cane railway loosely based on Sarina, and I leave the bins in the loops as the train proceeds away from the mill. Then pick them back up on the return.
I was trying to talk a mate into building a MF Harvester, and animating it cutting cane and loading bins hauled by tractors.
The rail head could also be animated by having the bins unloaded into the rail bins. Or just plain setting a timer of perhaps 40 minutes on the loop, that loads all the bins ready for the return to mill.
I would then just push the bins inside and they would appear out the other side empty.
Certainly would make for an interesting layout.

the items i think you're asking for are "CNR ash conveyer" i hid most of it
inside the mill and "concrete coal tower" it just stands alone.
it's apity the mills are just static items at the moment, but i got a few
canetrains running around my route to add to realism.
i got a tip to make the mill more realistic grab four "chimminy's with smoke"
and place them in the mill stack and you will end up with this

Thanks again Guys,
I have a soft spot for 422/22 class locos as I have two in my model train collection as they were the 2nd & 3rd locos I had bought, and after many years the only ones that still work along with my 2 48 class locos.

Regards,

Raichase

Had a play with the 22's last night, and they are typical of Davido and natvander! The model is excellent, very true to life with great colours and details - I love the low throbbing the locos make when slowing down to collect a staff from the station attendant* (it's exactly the same sound as in real life!). They sound great when slowly notching up after crossing an Endeavour at Halley River.

A nice touch, is when numbered 2201-2206, they get the large number on the side, and the locomotives corresponding name below the cab (eg Tennant Creek, Alice, Darwin, etc).

It is this kind of attention to detail, and funky scripting (is that how it's done) that just adds the realism to it. Like Fred, I've hooked a pair of with 852, and run some grain trains up and down the Wadalbavale branch, crossing Endeavours at the stations... Poetry in motion.

I am curious too, if you guys are reading this, do you have plans for a "present day" ARG logo on the side also? By that I mean the "ARG - A Division of QR" logo. Not asking for it, but I'd be curious. Such a fine model either way :)

For those not familiar with said logo:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/raichase/2191463171/in/set-72157600759847190/

That's it on the front of 2208. Take a moment to look at the loco and compare it to some of the screenies here - identical :D

The 422 class and, as a result, their new incarnation as "22" class are some of my favorite locomotives in NSW, and I am always pleased to drop down to Kiama or beyond to catch these locos hard at work with their ex WA counterparts, the 31 class, hauling flour and containers to and from Nowra for ARG/QR.

Sorry for the long post guys, I better tack on a screenie to make it worthwhile:

http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/1592/screen237qa1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting (http://imageshack.us)

2201 leads 2004 north towards Wattle Creek with a load of containers ex Wadalbavale Yard.

Thanks again to the CWS blokes :D

*I realise there is no facility for this kind of safeworking in "Trainz", but having witnessed the safeworking on the Kiama - Nowra section of the branch, which is still electric staff, I like to maintain such a practice when running on some of the layouts in Trainz :).

852 shunts the wagons into the Mill as the 22s get ready to take the empties out.

Ever since I got the locos, kind of making the place up like an ARG compound. Even made new stabling yards to get the Endeavours out of the way (Bottom-Right of photo).

http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/7974/22classaky6.jpg
After the train is put together, the 2202 and 2204 sandwich 852 with the journey out, following an outbound Endeavour towards Garsdale. With the Mill (backgound) now loaded for a few more days, this train head out again to collect more wheat

The ARG Locos now work hard up the grade and depart Hawes.

Was sort of a shame to see it go must agree Mitchey. Worked it between Roma Street and Acacia Ridge a few times. Got an actual look inside once while it was in the yard at the Ridge. Very opulent decor as you would expect. Would have been an experience to ride on it. Seems we aren't ready for that type of train here unfortunately:(. The bugs manage to graf it once while it was in transit. The Yard Co-ordinator at the Ridge near had a cow when he saw it apparently:hehe:.

They will come in 2 sets, 'original' steam SOP (well, you can have before and after the DS mail van was added :P ) with the end enclosures, plus a 1960s style standard gauge 'SOP', which can also represent a 1950s diesel hauled SOP as well :)

All cars can carry visible passengers as well :)

Is that the view you get in the Sim, Zec? I know you said it was difficult to get the view right because of the way auran set it up. I think you might have the only steam loco out there where we can see the track ahead from the cab view? I hope so :D

Actually, that isn't exactly the default view in TRS. The default view looks straight ahead, I turned my camera slightly to include a bit of the backhead. This view is setup as standing behind the drivers seat, for those who like to see most of the controls (reverser 'grab' point is hidden behind the driver's seat though :( ). The next 'camera' is in the driver's seat though :)

That is good news!
Because nearly every engine you drive in Trainz using the cab view does not allow you to see the track. How many times do you have to click #2 or heads out the window to see the track ahead. Flying Scotsman obviously had a real life problem with that tiny window in front, but most Australian engines had a decent view and we have no excuses for looking at the back of the boiler in cab view.

Well, I guess you won't like an S class cab then... The windows on them were very similar to those of the Scotsman (A little lower though, but still rather small IIRC). They were still fairly high, which I would think would limit the view of track closer to the locomotive (although at speed, this would be less of a problem, as you need to look a long way ahead anyway, whereas a driver in a K needs to be able to see up close as they did a lot of 'roadside' goods services, and shunting) :)

CRIKEY.

Let's just take another look at that, shall we?

Great looking landscape, as expected, from Natvander. The rocky outcrop is particularly realistic, and it's a great looking forest. Looks like shiny new container flats there, as well as new containers :udrool:, I believe that's a new gondola towards the rear of the train, and a new louvre van and brake van?

Whoa. Awesome.

That said, I came to this thread to find, not only Natvanders new screenies, but a really great looking weathering job from Zec, who continues to push the boundaries, and another teasing couple of screens from 3830. The scenery and grass work on 0099's route is also spectacular!

Us Aussie Trainzers are very lucky to have such a talented pool of people creating objects and layouts for this game! It's a pleasure to visit this thread!
