First let me say I am a beginner in both trainz (2004) and railways generally. I am creating a layout of Wiltshire based around the 1960's. As a kid in the 60's I can remember what we used to know as Westerns and Warships and also the green two car diesel units (passenger). I've been looking for these on the download station but can't seem to find any reference to them, I'm sure they are known by some more technical name like a 'class' number so if anyone could point me in the correct direction I would be grateful.

Thanks,
Paul

Welcome to an experience that will take you away from all around you and time that vanishes very quickly.
Have a look here http://www.magandy.net/ for some good uk rolling stock.

Westerns (Class 52) and Warships (Class 42) are both available on the DLS. The best bet for a suitable 2 car unit would probably be one of the many class 101s on the DLS (though they don't pick up passengers).

The class 35 (Hymek) would also be good for that region and time-frame. Before 1968 you would also expect to see some steam locos (mostly ex-GWR and BR standards).

Hope this helps...

Paul
