Do I unzip the Seamless data for MicroDEM?

I know MicroDEM automatically unzips TIGER data, but how about the zips from Seamless Data Distribution? Do I just toss the zip in the file, or unzip it and install the unzipped files in MicroDEM?
Sage advice is deeply appreciated.
I also can't get past the log-in in the GIS Data Depot, but that's a question of getting my browser to find it after I click the button. :confused: Computers are so much fun.

I have my TIGER data now, so I'm ready to start as soon as I get some free time.
Since the people who have experience with Seamless don't seem to be here lately, I'll just get a smaller chunk and experiment with different techniques.
