This has been around for many years. The models aren't really all that nice though by today's standards.

Yeah, every now and then I like get out from under the rock I'm living under.
@ NS37: They remind me of old MSTS models ~ especially the textures. In particular, the one's made by someone who I think was on your team at one time. Name doesn't come to me right away however.
As for research, wind turbine blade flatcars was what I was pokin around looking for. Would be a hard model to create within the limitations of the game engine.

Unless I'm mistaken the models in question were leftovers from Danny Beck's works, originally intended for the ill-fated second iteration of MSTS 2. I believe several related models ended up being distributed through then-Streamlines for their Stevens Pass route addon for MSTS. The original models were very visually appealing for the time.
