At the moment I have a E8500 core 2 @3.16 ghz, 6mb cache. I'm looking at a core2 quad Q9650 @3 ghz 12 mb cache. I know it's not the latest in cpu's. Rather than buy an external hard drive you can get a holder for your old hard drive with a USB 2 connecter to your computer. I was at West Coast Railway Company today and was told of this, only £4+p+p off flea bay. Just a thought.

Is there a way to increase RAM usage specifically when trainz is running? Or is it auto allocated. With no trainz I had 1132mb in use, 1105 mb standby and 3791 mb free. With trainz, 1768 mb in use,1258 mb standby and 2937 mb free. I'm using win 7 ultimate 64 bit.

Anybody else having trouble with these in 2010. The first couple of sessions are ok then the locos have a mind of their own. Some do, but some dont seem to know where there going and I find them miles away going at line speed.

I am using re-rail portals by maggs. They are not re-railing. But they show as monitoring for derailments. I've set them to re-rail in 2 mins, is this to short a time, there's plenty of room for consists to emit. I've tried all I can think of , anyone got ideas?.

if for example I have 2x2 gig and 2x1 gig am I right in thinking that the 2 gigs go in slots 1 and 3 and the 1 gigs 2 and 4 to keep it balanced.
